Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) is calling for the federal government to issue a $1,000 check “to each American” to help offset the cost of dealing with the coronavirus.
In a statement issued Monday, outlined his coronavirus proposals and called for the thousand-dollar checks to be issued “immediately”:

I have often questioned whether Mitt voted for himself in 2012. Then Biden seemed to gain the advantage in debate with PRyan.
When I was young, people were told to have six months living expenses in the bank.

I can tell you what would happen with the check...it would be used by most people to buy extras like a big screen tv set. Giving away 1000 dollars only means taking it from some one else. this is from some one who is from a lower social economic back ground that has to struggle to make things work financially. I live around other that are in the same boat who would just see it as bonus money. would rather the government not throw its money away because that money if spent would be better not spent. think about it to provide that check of 1,000 dollars to 100 people means you will be taking 100,000 from a person that could use it to create wealth and job opportunities

Airlines should have to give future discounts for federal government related travel.
Hotels/motels can rent out rooms at apartment rates.
Cruise ships are normally foreign-flagged to dodge US taxation - let cruise lines seek out help from Panama and Liberia.
Restaurants can cater meals for the home-bound vulnerable.
I remember that. One has to be really dumb to do worse in a debate than Biden. Yet Ryan was later voted Speaker, and he did a horrible job.
