Researchers in Australia report that Ivermectin, an FDA-approved drug commonly used to treat parasites, appears to be effective in treating the SARS-COV-2 coronavirus (COVID-19). The drug is widely available and can be repurposed for this application, doctors said.
The ScienceDirect journal, Antiviral Research, published an article by a group of Australian researchers from Monash University in Melbourne reporting that Ivermectin appears to be effective at inhibiting the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.
The article states:
Ivermectin is an inhibitor of the COVID-19 causative virus (SARS-CoV-2) in vitro.
A single treatment able to effect ∼5000-fold reduction in virus at 48h in cell culture. Ivermectin is FDA-approved for parasitic infections, and therefore has a potential for repurposing. Ivermectin is widely available, due to its inclusion on the WHO model list of essential medicines. We report here that Ivermectin, an FDA-approved anti-parasitic previously shown to have broad-spectrum antiviral activity in vitro, is an inhibitor of the causative virus (SARS-CoV-2), the researchers write. Ivermectin, therefore, warrants further investigation for possible benefits in humans.
The leader of the research team, Dr. Kylie Wagstaff issued a statement, saying, Ivermectin is very widely used and seen as a safe drug. We need to figure out now whether the dosage you can use it at in humans will be effectivethats the next step, Newsweek magazine reported. We found that even a single dose could essentially remove all viral RNA by 48 hours and that even at 24 hours there was a really significant reduction in it.
Ivermectins status as a drug that has already been studied and approved to treat other conditions offers a decided advantage over the development of new drugs, a long

A few years back I somehow got scabies and researched thoroughly how to get rid of them. One approach was ivermectin. The stuff for animals is supposed to be fine for people when properly diluted and is a fraction of the same thing for humans with no prescription needed. Another approach worked fine, so somewhere Ive got an unopened 0.21ounce tube of 1.87% ivermectin paste for horses I got from Amazon for under $10.
Looking up the contraindications wouldn’t be a bad idea either.
Horse owners use it regularly to de-worm their horses........
I’ll just call my local horse vet and get some - one tube for a horse should last our family of 10 many months.......
Evidently (from quick reads -> I'm not planning on taking it) it's safe for human consumption, though I wouldn't recommend the horse dose. (I'M NOT RECOMMENDING ANYTHING IN FACT YOU FISH TANK CLEANER EATING READERS!!!!!!)
Used extensively in the third world ...
MIGHT NOT be a bad backup to have on hand if in fact it's safe in the right amounts for humans. I'M NOT RECOMMENDING ANYTHING I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING I REALLY DON'T.
I just did some reading on it this morning.
It seems like when we do find the things that kick this things ass, it's going to turn out to be stuff we've had nearby for years and years. I kind of wonder if that's why the media is quiet and virtually denying hydrochloroqine ... because their biopharm sponsors are all wanting to make a lot of money off this disease.
The dose cannot be very high to accomplish a successful treatment. The dog dose is minuscule. The drug also has a high range of therapeutic index meaning it is safe. If one gets too much they will be blind and can’t move for a day or so but the symptoms will clear as the drug does.
“But it hasn’t been approved for covid-19! Waaa” says the press if Trump suggests this one too...
It is not really safe and from the way it works I hardly comprehend how it might have an antiviral effect. Although sometimes stuff works in miraculous ways.
Competition of HCQ?
Uh . . . Ive got some aquarium cleaner you can swallow.
Just asking for a master.
🐾
Fauci may object.
What is it? Fish bowl cleaner?
🙃 🙄
its a dewormer used for many many animals.
obviously works for people as a dewormer too
Sheesh. Some of youse guys don’t know when to quit. Lol.

If I kill all the worms what will I use for fish bait?
... but did it cure the scabies?
... how did you calculate dosage?
Oh gosh another thing for the fraud Fauci to bitch about
