The use of face masks on healthy people during the coronavirus pandemic has been a major point of contention and confusion among scientists and the public.
On Friday, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended that all Americans wear face masks when they are in public.
But new guidance from the World Health Organization released on Monday says healthy people don't need to wear face masks and that doing so won't provide added protection from the coronavirus.
WHO also said community masking could lead to a "false sense of security" and cause people to ignore other evidence-based measures like handwashing and self-isolation.

Come to think of it, the first house I bought, for Halloween, I changed all the light bulbs in the front of the house to red party lights, so the house had this evil glow to it from the street.
No tricker treaters except 3 teenagers after 10pm.

Would anyone here care to attempt to convince me any of this has anything to do with the core mission of the Centers for Disease Control? In fact, what this represents is a hijacking of the CDC for political purposes. And those who performed this hijacking need to be called to account.
Define face mask! There are the things made from old t-shirts and string, to professional quality ones used by doctors and nurses. Failure to define face mask leads to headlines like the one used here.
I have this old thing, with sparkles, from last New Years. Does that count as a face mask?

Or hay fever. It’s pollen season here in the South. Fortunately it’s supposed to rain today and tomorrow, will wash some of it out.
In watching various news programs featuring physicians who are treating covid19 patients, i noticed that non of the doctors ever mention preventive medical procedures. They never mention HCQ, or plasma treatment. Their ideas of treatments is a face mask and a ventilator that’s it. Are they afraid of liability problems mentioning medical procedures that are not approved by the FDA? Its a disgrace.
There was a news story about some chick who was bedazzling face masks with Swarovski crystals.

Oh and if you showed up in my Urgent Care and refused to wear the mask provided you could take a hike .
