As Democrats Exploit Virus to Expand Vote-by-Mail, Texas Fights Back

Attorney General Ken Paxton is challenging state and federal lawsuits brought by the Texas Democrat Party attempting to bypass the legislature’s voting integrity laws in court.

As Democrats across the nation use fear of the Chinese coronavirus as a pretext to push for more mail-ballot voting, a process ripe for fraud, Texas is fighting back to preserve the state’s voting laws and election integrity.

Since March, the Texas Democrat Party has been pursuing two separate lawsuits targeting vote-by-mail limits set by the legislature—one in state court and one federal.

They aim to force county election officials to disregard state statutes and accept every mail-ballot application marked “disability” for the remainder of 2020, and possibly beyond. Democrats argue fear of contracting the coronavirus at the polls should qualify all voters to claim they are disabled and request a mail ballot.

The Texas lawsuits are part of a nationwide litigation strategy by Democrats using courts and the coronavirus crisis to push universal vote-by-mail and other election policies they sought well before COVID-19 emerged but weren’t able to win in state legislatures.

Republicans are concerned because mail-ballot voting is inherently less secure than in-person voting. Votes cast by mail are far more vulnerable to fraud and abuse like ballot harvesting, voter intimidation, and tampering, as well as misdelivery by the postal service. They also worry election administrators may not be equipped to handle a massive increase in mail balloting.

“Protecting the integrity of elections is one of my most important and sacred obligations,” Paxton said on Friday. “The Legislature has carefully limited who may and may not vote by mail.”

If Democrats are successful in getting the courts to order expanded voting by mail in Texas, it will be the final step in turning the State blue. The opportunity for Democrat voter fraud will be impossible to overcome.

We could only wish more of our elected Republicans were willing to fight as hard as our Texas Attorney General Paxton.

Those over age 65, those with disabilities, those who will be out of their county, and those not convicted but in jail can already vote by mail in Texas and should take advantage of that privilege.

My mom usually gets a mail in ballot and I have have requested mail in ballots when I was out of town. However, there should not be widespread use of the mail-in ballots for people who do not currently qualify.

How about allowing voting by mail.

But.....

if evidence is found - even just 10 votes - that fraud did occur, then the State MUST toss and invalidate ALL mail in ballots.

Would that satisfy the dems?

Just think about how many American g.i’s overseas have to vote by absentee ballot, and how many of those never reach the ballot counting office.

Now, do you want thatt kind of miscounting to happen right here, in your own backyard??
