Trump will lose in a landslide because of the economy, new election model predicts

New York (CNN Business)The economy has gone from President Donald Trump's greatest political asset to perhaps his biggest weakness.

Unemployment is spiking at an unprecedented rate. Consumer spending is vanishing. And GDP is collapsing. History shows that dreadful economic trends like these spell doom for sitting presidents seeking reelection.

The coronavirus recession will cause Trump to suffer a "historic defeat" in November, a national election model released Wednesday by Oxford Economics predicted.

The model, which uses unemployment, disposable income and inflation to forecast election results, predicts that Trump will lose in a landslide, capturing just 35% of the popular vote. That's a sharp reversal from the model's pre-crisis prediction that Trump would win about 55% of the vote. And it would be the worst performance for an incumbent in a century.

"It would take nothing short of an economic miracle for pocketbooks to favor Trump," Oxford Economics wrote in the report, adding that the economy will be a "nearly insurmountable obstacle for Trump come November."

The model has correctly predicted the popular vote in every election since 1948 other than 1968 and 1976 (although two candidates lost the popular vote but won the presidency in that span, including George W. Bush in 2000 and Donald Trump in 2016).

The economy has gone from President Donald Trump’s greatest political asset to perhaps his biggest weakness.

Unemployment is spiking at an unprecedented rate.

None of that is because of the President and his decisions. All of that is happening because of a little Gates-controlled puppet and Democratic Governors and Mayors around this country. The folks in Michigan didn’t show up at the capitol because of the President.

I saw a meme yesterday about the gym owner in New Jersey who, according to the meme, was arrested for opening his gym. Top photo was him, wearing a mask, being placed in handcuffs. The bottom picture was 6 or 7 convicted sex offenders who had just been released from jail because of fears over Covid-19.

Not sure if it’s 100% true or not. Maybe, maybe not.

I’m thinking the President is going to do quite well in November. And to think, he hasn’t had to debate CornPop yet.

Trump is awful at messaging despite accomplishing good things.

How is he awful at messaging? Because he doesn’t wrap it up in a pretty little, ribbon of politician bullsh*t? I’ll go out on a limb and say that for those of that AREN’T “most of the time” Trumper’s, we appreciate and welcome his brutal honesty. Why? Because that’s the way most educated and aware folks communicated. You don’t like that he doesn’t use $10 words and that sometimes he talks like a ditch digger, go support Bill Kristol.

The same modelers who predicted 2 million U.S. coronavirus deaths?

What would Mrs. Bill have done if she was President? People even considering voting against Trump need to consider that. The economy would have been in the tank before the Covid started. She would not have stopped flights from China for weeks. Considering her Ben Ghazi inaction, why would anyone think she could have made a timely decision and taken aggressive action here. The US would have made Italy look good.

Anyone who considers voting for the Rats really needs to think a bit.

Psyop.

Believe *no* polling data, especially from these creepers.

We will experience a very high number of reverse Bradleyism votes.

Trump can help himself dramatically by lifting his own national emergency declaration that is going cover - and cash - to fascist Democrat governors. The longer he wants to do this, the more damage he is inflicting on his own re-election.

Trump would probably lose if the Democrats had a candidate anywhere on the horizon with an Obama or Clinton level of charisma. Biden/Abrams ain’t gonna get it done - even with vast mail-in fraud. They would have been better off sticking with Beto. :)

100% .... and she isn’t out of the running, yet. They still have to have their convention and official nomination. She’s got more dirt and more co-conspirators in her black books that J Edgar Hoover would be crying in the corner. No one should count her out until that convention is over.

As for November if Biden gets the nod, officially, the most important thing is going to be his VP. He’s put it out there that it has to be a woman. Cuomo is lucky he isn’t charged with Manslaughter for what he did to the nursing homes. I would have thought that Newsome had a chance, but his VP is more important than anything.

But, I doubt he’ll make it past the second debate, if there is a second one, and they’ll figure out how to replace him.

No, they won’t.

Dems have done what they always do—overreached.

Voters in blue states who have lost their jobs or their businesses are not simply going to *forget*. They know which party destroyed their livelihoods. They know who threatens them with jail and obscene fines for going to work. And they’re quite aware of who is separating church from people.

Voters are also suffering horribly from the inevitable consequences of the dems despicable behavior by way of *Deaths of Despair*. Deaths *caused* by the lockdown will kill more people than the virus. That’s a prediction you can trust.

—Substance abuse is way up, some reports put it at 67%. The relapse rates are high, which is a horrible consequence that will create extreme devastation.

—Suicide rates have shot up. Calls to some hotlines are up 300-400%. Thank the dems and Fake News.

—DV is surging. Victims and their helpless little hostages have been trapped with their abusers.

—Cancer, heart disease and other patients are not getting necessary treatments. Canceling elective and non-urgent procedures did not refer to butt lifts. Kidney transplants were postponed. Dialysis patients skipped their essential sessions. There are plenty of documented deaths caused by patients going untreated. Almost three dozen cardiac patients in Canada died recently. All had missed some type of procedure or treatment.

And, many were just too terrorized by blue state tyrants, including Fraudci and Fake Newsers to go to the doctor or ER when they needed to.

I’m waiting for someone to create a meme showing Lady Liberty holding a blow dryer instead of a torch.

There is no chance that people will simply *forget* and move on. We haven’t even begun to collect the data on the extent of the wreckage. Imagine you’re part of a multigenerational family business that has been a community fixture forever. Then imagine it just went *poof* because a blue state tyrant ordered you to kill it.

The Deaths of Despair numbers should be front and center until Election Day.

What people *will* recall is the President who bucked his own experts and forced the country to reopen.

Wishful thinking on their part. Conditions are unprecedented. No modeling is possible. The only model worth looking at is wartime Presidents. Looking at those does not bode well for their wishes, especially when POTUS has performed so well.

What would Mrs. Bill have done if she was President? People even considering voting against Trump need to consider that.

The Democrats don't have to run on what they did but what they say they would have done. With the benefit of hindsight all the Democrats have to do is look for things that could have been done better and say, "We would have had that in place before Covid hit." That's what people will have to consider.

Anyone who considers voting for the Rats really needs to think a bit.

That's always been the case and yet the Democrats have won four of the last seven elections.
