On Monday morning, people woke up to a video on Twitter showing masked customers in a Staten Island grocery store screaming obscenities at a woman without a mask and shouting at her to “get out.” It’s an alarming video because it shows how quickly people can be turned into human weapons when fear powers them.

The video that followed it was even better, because it showed that a flubro had gotten into the store.
Staten Island is a rough tough place. It’s not a grassy suburb. It’s better thought of as an outgrowth of Brooklyn.
Looks like it’s perceived as being a political issue by more people in states with larger populations and larger hot spots early on. In at least some of the middle of the country, most people don’t care either way about other people wearing masks or not. They do care about keeping business activity going, though, and lack of customer demand is the only obstacle.

I am old and I have diabetes.....I have no right to demand you wear a mask or anyone else to protect me....I can choose to stay home if I want...

Or do you have a wife who does that for you? Not everyone has your advantage. Maybe the solution is to have ‘mask grocery stores’ and ‘no mask needed ‘ grocery stores.
I’m surprised about the conservative reaction to this - because it’s usually white liberal ‘elites’ who don’t give a damn if others live or die (outside of their pet victim groups who prop up their power - they care about their violent thugs)...
