A Minneapolis AutoZone near the area where protesters reportedly looted nearby businesses has been set on fire Wednesday evening as demonstrators take to the streets over the death of George Floyd, who died Monday after a police officer put his knee on his neck while detaining him, according to reports.
Several journalists shared photos and video of the burning Autozone, which is also near Minneapolis Police’s 3rd Precinct, where protesters and police officers engaged in a tense standoff in the afternoon. Des Moines Register photographer Zach Boyden-Holmes noted that the blaze was started by protesters.

Initially, Mohammed Noor was given a free pass for shooting Justine Damond. Same department.
The most famous incident off the top of my head, the LAPD officers who almost killed two innocent ladies delivering newspapers when they were looking for Christopher Dorner. Over 100 rounds fired at a truck... that was the wrong brand, wrong color, wrong number of occupants, wrong gender occupants - nope, just open fire and blaze away. No charges, no disciplinary actions, nothing.

Seems to me, from the videos I have seen, the police are lined up in a formation to protect the police building behind them, while ignoring the looting and destruction occurring just across the street in the retail stores. Given the volatile situation and the left leaning politics of Minneapolis, they might be under orders to do exactly that.
I don’t have a problem if lefty Minneapolis wants to make their retail businesses disappear through their inattention. That’s their problem.
I do have a big problem with this department, which resisted body cams in the first place, has a nasty habit of “accidentally” not turning on or blatantly turning off body cams, ‘losing’ body cam footage and then doing things like shooting someone reporting a crime, or this latest incident.
Also, I’ve had severe quality problems with AutoZone parts in recent years, so I don’t particularly mind if some of their stores burn down.
In Minneapolis, you have radicals of all types, mainly leftists and racist extremists.
I’ll try to suggest who some are or would be:
BLM - Black Lives Matter - black extremist, anti-white group
Workers World Party (WWP) and/or its fronts, ANSWER, IAC - International Action Center, and its split off, the Party of Socialism and Liberation (PSL)
Democratic Socialists of America (DSA)
Communist Party USA (always a factor in Minnesota politics and radicalism
Maybe all three members of the “New Students for a Democratic Society”
A group with a name including something like the following:
All-African Socialist Peoples Party, ROAR, All African Revolutionary Party
Any group with the word “Progressive” in its title (Progressive is just another world for Marxist wannabe liberals/leftists and half-baked socialists”
The Trotskyite International Socialist Organization/ISO and any form of “Socialist Organization”.
New Black Panther Party (NBPP)
N’COBRA (a black reparations coalition) - member has been Rev. Jeremiah Wright and his church
Because it was there and UNPROTECTED!
They also have burned down a Wendy’s next door and apparently a Aldi and Cub Foods store nearby and looted a Target. Now they will complain about a food dessert in the coming months. Well, too bad, you burned and looted all your stores. I wonder how many will rebuild?

They have all the parts and accessories needed to turn an ordinary hooptie into a classy low rider.
Also, saw a comment on twitter. “So far the bookstores have remained untouched”.

I watched the video posed in comment #5. Based on the comments many protesters made, it seems to be a mix of every leftist/Marxist/socialist group out their burning down their city and finding all sorts of ways to justify it or blame the PD for them burning down a grocery store.
Everyone knows it looks really bad what the PD did on Monday, the officers were fired and FBI/DA are working on the case. It;s been less than 48 hrs since action was taken and they loot/destroy/burn several blocks of their own city. That accomplishes nothing. If you want to protest outside he PD, City Hall, fine. They were just looking for a excuse to burn and destroy stuff.
I watched part of the video from comment #5. One rioter basically said it is their neighborhood they are destroying and the PD made them do it by using tear gas or rubber bullets at one point and they had to show the city how they really act or something to that effect. That says, we will do it again if we decide to. You are right, they shouldn’t rebuild for a community like that.

The rat politicians will run and hide and those who still stand will capitulate and agree to everything demanded the rioters with the media by their side as always will win. Water cannons at the ready, the national guard and a curfew immediately should have been the response
