On the upside, there’s no such thing as a dead atheist.

ImVho, the LAST decent/wise Governor of VA was Doug Wilder, who has been a friend of mine for over 3 decades.

SEE the book, WHEN HELL FROZE OVER: The Untold story of Doug Wilder, A Black Politician’s rise to Power in the South by Professor Dwayne Yancey. Published 01FEB1989.
(According to the chair of history at The University of Virginia, “Governor Douglas Wilder won the first popularly elected governor’s chair in one of the 13 states of Old Dixie with the support of one of the most peculiar combinations of any public office-holder ever. - That loose coalition included many African-Americans, The Sons of Confederate Veterans, Republicans, AME pastors, political Independents, Libertarians, moderate to conservative Democrats, blue & pink-collar manual workers, rednecks from Southside, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, small farmers, trade unionists & a great many other people of divers sorts. Governor Wilder’s election was an outright revolt against the “Good ‘Ole Boys Club”, i.e., the political elites of The Commonwealth”.

[their last bastion will be Israel itself.]

Yes, when it’s all said and done, the 4th beast (kingdom) of Daniel shall arise, stomp everything in its path and dominate the world. It is my belief and my hope that the Church will have been removed at that point.

[ And it’s been written what will then happen ]

Yep. They are in for a huge, huge surprise when they try to finish off Israel. Then shall be Great Tribulation and the Time of Jacob’s Trouble. Then let those which be in Judea flee to the mountains.

Replace it with a statue of Anthony Johnson, a black man that worked off his indenture and then became a prosperous farmer with numerous indentured workers. Then in about 1650, he established slavery in the colonies by the court case Anthony versus Casor.

A real role model of self-sufficiency and hard work for the wokesters!

Simply brilliant. I couldn’t agree more.

The sheep and the goats are being divided.

The heathen goats think they are winning. They couldn’t be more wrong.

Psalm 2:1-4 King James Version

1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,

3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

EXACTLY CORRECT. — For those of us whose ancestors served as soldiers, sailors & marines of the CSA, there will be ANOTHER RISE of ANGER directed against those persons, who wrongly believe that they are “our betters” & there will be NO FORGIVENESS of their shameful deeds.
(To quote an Admiral of the WWII Japanese military on the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, “ I fear that we have awakened a sleeping tiger.”)

I’ll say what shouldn’t but must be said. This man should be hung in the center of the town for all to see.

Not for his color, but for his treachery and as an example to all.

The mayor had no authority to do this. The city attorney told him so. He committed a felony by doing it. But the idea that no one is above the law is a joke when it comes to democrats and rioters.

The city courthouse was closed down by a democrat riot yesterday. No one could enter to file for an injunction against the mayor’s lawlessness.

One, possibly two black people visible in that crowd. Really wish these liberal-types would stop thinking they know what’s best for black folks...where/how to live, what to be offended by, believing they can’t do anything for themselves without government help, etc...

I could weep knowing that ol’ Stonewall is no longer looking north up Boulevard. I always thought that was the best of the statues along Monument Avenue because Jackson wasn’t in a heroic pose like the JEB Stuart statue. He was just on his horse, not moving, but on guard and watching, and yes, the statue faced north. That had to be intentional.

I drove down Monument Avenue many many times during the years I lived in Richmond and never got tired of it. It’s not just the statues, it’s a very pretty street full of interesting old houses, with the statues in intersections and roundabouts every few blocks. Doesn’t matter now. It’s a no-go zone. Dead to me forever.

It’s a time I remember oh so well...”

Never liked Wilder’s politics much but I thought he did a fair job as Governor, for a Democrat, and always thought he seemed like a decent man that you could disagree with but still work beside. He did a better job as Mayor of Richmond afterward, I think he shocked some of his more leftist racist supporters when he turned out to be a surprisingly firm law-and-order supporter.

I strongly suspect that the owner’s lawyers are going to hit Mayor Stoney & the Richmond City government with a HUGE civil suit, including requesting that the jury award the PUNITIVE DAMAGES. - Such cases take time to prepare for court.

“Who is buried in Grant’s tomb?”

We will probably find out when it is discovered both the Mr. and the Mrs. were slave owners.

They will have to be removed from the public square.
