Pelosi’s ‘salongate,’ SF govt. gyms open, public schools opening for teachers’ kids only
Last week we had Salongate when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was caught on security cameras visiting a San Francisco hair salon for a wash and blow-out, despite Gov. Gavin Newsom’s business lockdown orders, and local ordinances keeping hair and nail salons closed during the coronavirus pandemic.
Now we find out gyms located inside of government buildings in San Francisco have been open for months, despite privately owned gyms and fitness centers still ordered closed because of Gov. Newsom’s business lockdown over coronavirus.
If that is not enough, Central Coast Congressional Candidate Andy Caldwell reported to the Globe that the Santa Barbara Unified School District allowed the children of teachers and district employees to return to in-class learning, in a secret carve-out exemption at Franklin, McKinley, and other elementary schools in the district.

Just once I would like to see the interpreter put their finger to their temple and go in circles to say “totally nuts-—whacko” and then give a big double thumbs down and walk off.
The people you know, millions of foreign nationals, millions of illegals etc. Most of S. CA has been completely overrun thanks to those in government and their endless chain immigration and open borders policies. They took the crown jewel of the U.S. and destroyed it. Last time I ever went to a DMV in CA, I thought I’d walked into a Mexican bull fight arena. No joke. I was thoroughly offended by what the corrupt did to that state.

No, it’s not posturing. It’s not Newsome’s choice to have the interpreter. It’s pretty much SOP for any public service announcement or speech.
Sign language has its own grammar and not all Deaf are fluent in English.
Plus, closed captioning does not generally work all that well. Some of the things I’ve seen cc come up with are ridiculous and make no sense.
The Deaf have just as much right to know what’s going on as anyone and since lipreading is iffy at best, and cc is not much better, ASL interpreters are what’s left. It’s no skin off anyone’s back to have one. The worst thing is that some people are annoyed by it, but it’s not hurting them to see it and it’s not a moral issue that is forcing someone to compromise what they believe in to see it.
So get over it and thank whatever god you believe in that don’t need it, because life is not easy for the Deaf.
