I believe the original article said Senate Republicans were investigating to see if it’s legit, but other than that blurb I haven’t found anything on the status.
In the best circumstances, forensic computer information retrieval can sometimes take a very long time. That’s assuming they have the actual drive and not the copy the guy in the repair shop made. Might be a loooong wait to see if any determination can even be made at all.
(But that would be nothing new.)
If I were the computer repair man, I would already have a few dozen copies of the data stowed in various places, and then I would disappear into the Ozarks for a few months.

The FBI needs to be abolished and reconstituted with a different name and none of the FBI old employees to be forever banned from joining the new agency. Sure, there are some good men there, but it is not really possible to sort them out. The lack of “whistleblowers” says that the entire agency is rotten. Then all other federal investigation and protection agencies need to be thoroughly investigated by outside agencies, even the Secret Service, maybe especially the Secret Service.
We mostly agree. The difference is I’d like to see swift justice. If half of the criminals get away this year, that’s far better than getting only slightly more of them two years from now.

I agree about the swift justice, but the problem is how deep does the corruption go? Do you take a Hunter and forgo a Barrack?
The problem that everyone identifies is if Trump were to lose, it all goes away. And it just might.But I think the rot is on both sides of the aisle and Trump (and us) are fighting a larger foe.
We both know that Barack Hussein and Hillary are untouchable. If decent Americans take down their lieutenants, we can weaken them. That’s the best I hope for.

There is currently an FBI guy named Halpern who is leaving the FBI because it is NOT doing what he thinks it should be doing.
