Cancer-stricken Rush Limbaugh says he can no longer deny he's 'under a death sentence'
Fox News ^ | October 19, 2020 | Brian Flood

Cancer-stricken talk radio legend Rush Limbaugh provided listeners a somber update on his condition Monday after recent scans showed “some progression of cancer,” which he said is “not dramatic” but still a step in the wrong direction.

Limbaugh announced in February that he was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer and had missed several shows this month to undergo treatment.

“From the moment you get the diagnosis, there’s a part of you every day, OK, that’s it, life’s over, you just don’t know when,” Limbaugh said. “So, during the period of time after the diagnosis, you do what you can to prolong life, do what you can to prolong a happy life. You measure a happy life against whatever medication it takes.”

Limbaugh, who recently hosted President Trump for a two-hour interview, continued the devastating update on his diagnosis.

“It’s tough to realize that the days where I do not think I’m under a death sentence are over,” Limbaugh continued. “Now, we all are, is the point. We all know that we’re going to die at some point, but when you have a terminal disease diagnosis that has a time frame to it, then that puts a different psychological and even physical awareness to it.”

If you had heard the first segment of today’s broadcast you would not have felt the need to post this.

In the first segment today, Rush clearly stated that he has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. My wife and I rejoiced when he said it.

Really disgusting to see all the vile, hateful comments at the link by the “oh, so tolerant lefties”.

I think we’ve all been overcome by other events taking over our lives and Rush would understand that. We will all do better!!

El Rushbo is the man who started it all. We would not have Mark Levin, Chris Plante, Buck Sexton, Derek Hunter, Sean Hannity and on and on without Rush being the trailblazer. When he is gone it is going to leave quite a void. I wonder who will rise to take his place ... or if that is even possible. But... he is still with us and let us appreciate and celebrate him while he is.

Did you here him today? Listen to him. Let’s not throw dirt on him just yet. I’ve lost both my mother and father and then my mother-in-law and father-in-law to Lung cancer. I took him seriously but this man is filled with hope and not just in the next life but this one he is living now.

Knew and had a priest that said Mass, until the day they took him to the E.R. from behind the altar. That was his last day on earth.

I was a leftist, pretty radical, read the Progressive, the Nation, Zmagazine, Utne reader...

One of the magazines had an article about this man called Rush Limbaugh. In the article the author spoke about how friendly and polite this talk show host was to his guests. And that all over the midwest from 1 to 3 diners and resturaunts paused to listen to Rush.

So one day I decided to try to find this phenomenon so I kept turning the dial on the radio in the SAAB. And I found him. This had to be 1991 - 3? Unsure. I listened to him as he provided a different take on women’s lib, and just about everything else I understood.

I was charmed. He was funny, witty and a bit off the wall, but ever so rational.

It was the beginning of a long walk to conservatism

I just tweeted him that besides my mom and a brother, he’s been the longest constant in my life. I’ve been a Rush listener since his first day of national syndication.

I got married a couple years later so not even my wife has been around as long.

It’s going to be a sad day for me and America.

Couple points. I hope he’s considering retiring after January 20 and I truly hope that when the inevitable happens, his funeral is broadcast nationwide as befitting a national figure.
