Fox news:

155, ORIG. TEXAS V. PENNSYLVANIA, ET AL. The State of Texas’s motion for leave to file a bill of complaint is denied for lack of standing under Article III of the Constitution. Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections. All other pending motions are dismissed as moot. Statement of Justice Alito, with whom Justice Thomas joins: In my view, we do not have discretion to deny the filing of a bill of complaint in a case that falls within our original jurisdiction. See Arizona v. California, 589 U. S. ___ (Feb. 24, 2020) (Thomas, J., dissenting). I would therefore grant the motion to file the bill of complaint but would not grant other relief, and I express no view on any other issue.

All of it. Every single word.

How’s that for details?

Solidarity was a movement of millions with very different political beliefs who united for one cause, to get rid of the current system.

I grew up in the 50’s. Both my parents were immigrants who came here as small children. They taught us to love this country with all our hearts. I was raised, and was taught in school, that the United States was the best country on earth, that she was strong, and could defeat any enemy she faced. I experienced air raid drills, and we were taught that communism was our enemy, and to pray it never came here. What I wasn’t told was that an enemy within our own government, would over time, plot and collude with foreign enemies to destroy the Republic that our forefathers gave us. The 50’s and 60’s during the Cold War were tame, compared to what has gone on in this country over the past 4+ years. I don’t even want to imagine what changes the next four years will bring. At 73, I’ve outlived all my family. I raised my two sons alone, and am now on the tail-end of my life. I’m very thankful that I don’t have any grand-children that I will have to worry about.

FU

But you keep posting this bullshit if it helps you.

“If what you are doing succeeds”

What am I doing?

“Will that make you happy?”

Why would that make me happy?

Nothing I posted warranted your reply. I said people I know in Georgia, aren’t voting in the runoff for those two/voting at all, since it doesn’t matter, so why vote.

I don’t live in Georgia and unlike dems and repubs and their vote fraud, I don’t vote there.

But why vote at all since the steal guarantees that voting doesn’t matter?

Are you retarded?

“I’ve said for years now that I vote mostly to clear my conscience. So that if push comes to shiv, I can say that I did everything I could within the law.”

And that is why all these suits must be tried and dismissed or beaten down first, and every other legal recourse given its chance.

Some think such a mindset is overly restrictive, but I have found in actual practice, that it is immensely more freeing.

(note - didn’t intentionally stalk your postings, just did an in forum search to find this post, and replied to another that came up first)

I lived a wonderful life. Fabulous childhood. Great parents now deceased. Wonderful husband and 4 now adult kids that are awesome people.

I’m in my 50s so I got a couple decades to go, lol, I think.

But I want to see my grandkids, and continue to spend wonderfully fun times with my kids and sibs. I want their lives to be as great as mine was.

We had such a blessed life. I want the same for my kids and grandkids.

How about voting in the dem primaries.

Doesn’t get you the best dem, and keeps you from helping select the best R. Everyplace I’ve seen try this ended up being too clever by half, and lost.
You still end up with a D whack-job, and an R insider or placeholder.

I include the Rush “Operation Chaos” in that assessment.

Generally, SCOTUS only hears appeals from State Supreme Courts or Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal. And those appellate courts hear appeals from trial courts.

To take a case right to SCOTUS, (and bypass appellate courts and trial Courts) you have to invoke its original jurisdiction. But there are very, very few lawsuits where SCOTUS has original jurisdiction.

In disputes between states, SCOTUS has original jurisdiction.

If you are talking about someone on FR, you are supposed to Ping them.

I have never been “hysterical” about covid, I did post news to the covid thread and had discussion with others who were watching it. Some thought it was more serious than others, and some still do. That doesn’t make them non-conservative.

I rarely posted outside that thread except to share information from time to time. I have not pushed my views on anyone. I have never advocated for wide scale lockdowns, business closures (my husband’s business never shut down), mask mandates or anything of the sort. I have never told anyone to stay away from their families or friends. I have always thought covid has been politicized to hurt Trump and I know the democrats used it to manipulate the election.

I do wipe down things coming into my house because I am the caregiver for my frail elderly father in law, and I do wear masks when I go out for his sake, it may not help but I don’t think it hurts anything. My family took a ton of precautions in the spring because no one really knew what we were dealing with. But I feel like they know a lot more about how to treat it now, so we are not as concerned as we were in the beginning.

I have also been posting information on the election threads too, so have a lot of people. I don’t know why you are singling me out. It’s really odd. You did this to me once before for a very innocuous comment I made about covid, and made some wild allegations about me then too.

Yeah I have to agree. These treasonous commie bastards - and I include the ‘Republican’ leadership in this group - have utterly destroyed our democratic process. There is no reason to have any faith in it at all. We already know these filthy wretched traitors will just fudge up enough “votes” to win regardless.

The ballot box is GONE. All that remains is the ammo box.

I sure hope our military isn’t willing to turn their superior firepower on American patriots who still believe in the Constitution. But I guess it will be a better death than cancer or starvation or whatever.

“A major goal of the Communists has been to make us lose faith in our institutions, our government, our way of life. They just succeeded. Mark the date: December 11, 2020.”

We have a winner! They have been trying this all along, and slowly succeeding, moving the distrust level a little at a time. We can even see it here over the course of the last couple of decades.

I have thought a long time that we have been fighting against the idea of an enemy who wants to take us over, when our enemies may find it more profitable to destabilize us and have us remove ourselves out of their way on the world stage. How do you fight against someone whose goal is to make you distrust them?

But I am not sure I can completely rule out the notion that some foreign actors might not want to try to actually invade or attack us after weakening us. It would be a mistake, and undo a lot of the division they have sown, but it may be too difficult to resist.

But note: while I think you are right in that they may have finally found the formula for getting the giant number of law-abiding citizens to finally act - something they’ve been trying for years - I don’t think this ruling itself is the final act to mark.

Yet a little more patience.

is any one reading the whole document it does not seem to make any sense to some of the responses here. The top seems to say that the right for Texas to complain is denied and at the bottom Justice Thomas and Alto are answering granting Texas the right to to file the petition? The date on this thing is feb 20/20 which seems odd .Can some one enlighten ?

If they want the silent right to erupt, that will do it.

Problem is, I fear that is what they want. So how to prevent both?

"We had such a blessed life. I want the same for my kids and grandkids."

I hope you get to have all of that and more. I had a wonderful childhood. Had two very loving parents, a brother and two sisters. Most of my family didn't make it to 70. My oldest sister lived to 74, so at 73, I feel like I'm living on borrowed time. I'm grateful that the Lord gave me two sons. I got divorced in 79, and raised them alone, because their father chose to forego any relationship with them. He has no idea his youngest son went through cancer surgery and chemo last year. My oldest is 54, never wanted to get married or have children. My youngest will be 50 in February, and got married last year to his long-time girlfriend. Neither wants children either, and that's fine with me. I don't expect my kids to live their lives the way I want them to. As long as they have long and happy lives, that's good enough for me.
