Do we have enough rope, helicopters, and wood chippers to dispose of those people?
Cluess made it personal, insulting the person who wants The Odyssey removed. And did it for several tweets. What did she think was going to happen?
She could have made the same points without making it personal. Yes, the mob would have still come for her, but the chances of her agent, etc sticking by her would have been greater.
The point is to eliminate western culture so they can replace it with something else.
The Odyssey, Greek myth, and Greek culture are part of the foundation of western culture, which provides a common framework for our society.
The Apollo Theater in Harlem is black cultural icon, but who is it named after? A Greek god.
The Odyssey won’t be the last western classic banned.
After reading the comments on here, I have come to the conclusion that the idea behind this is that these books must be banned by the Left, because reading them, in great measure, contributes to the creation of Conservatives.
