President Trump reportedly discussed forming a new political party – the Patriot Party – after “feuding” with the Republican establishment.
The Wall Street Journal reported the following in its January 19th piece entitled “Trump Has Discussed Starting a New Political Party”:
President Trump has talked in recent days with associates about forming a new political party, according to people familiar with the matter, an effort to exert continued influence after he leaves the White House.
Mr. Trump discussed the matter with several aides and other people close to him last week, the people said. The president said he would want to call the new party the “Patriot Party,” the people said.
Mr. Trump has feuded in recent days with several Republican leaders including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.), who on Tuesday said Mr. Trump deserved blame for provoking the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. Polls show Mr. Trump retains strong support among rank-and-file GOP voters.
I’m expecting the President to be arrested soon. They have a vendetta and will not stop until he and his family are in prison are ruined financially with defense lawyer fees, if he can even get defense attorneys.
I find it so insane that the banks and businesses that are pulling funding for GOP are rushing to do business with China or continuing business with China all the while they commit genocide and have re-education camps, work kids to death, their people to death. Who shut down free speech and censor everything, who gave us the VIRUS.
Yes! Exactly I’m pissed about Kwayme and Bannon who stole wall money from MAGA donators. I’m pissed at all the tax evasion pardons, the Medicare fraud billing, the SNAP fraud pardons.
Even a President Bush friend got a pardon, the family that hates Trump.
AG Rosen stepped down today. New AG will ensure those endictment’s are dismissed. Trump had no major document leak that was promised. We’ve been strung along for the last 6 months of major news coming, people are going to prison, blah blah.

He was briefed quite a few times on the large potential for voter fraud he should have a war plan for that but didn’t.

Yes,I’ll wager that at least one criminal charge will soon be filed against him...perhaps by Attorney General Bill Ayers or perhaps by some Dude-In-A-Dress in New York....Kalifornia...Beijing....
Trump should (1) work for Republican candidates he supports for Congressional posts in 2022, and (2) let the work and outcome of that process help determine any 3rd party possibilities. I think it is very possible Trump can strengthen how many GOP office holders are with him, in spite of the GOP elite in Washington D.C. today.
What gives me hope for that?
It most of all comes from the last election.
1. Great efforts and great expenses were made to cleave Republican, and Conservative Christian voters from Trump in the 2022 election. Some of those efforts were led by RINOs, like the Lincoln Project. Some were made by well know “evangelical” Christians. None of those efforts work. Republican voters did not defect from Trump in 2022. Evangelical Christians did not defect from Trump in 2022. Exit polls and post election surveys showed Trump lost no GOP or Conservative Christian voters, as a share of such voters, in 2022.
2. There was no “Blue Wave” when it come to either Conressional or state races. In spite of all the triumphalism of the Dims they were in fact soundly beaten out of most of the races where they thought they would gain in the number of positions they held. The two Georgia special post-election senate races were outliers compared to most of the races in 2022.
Yes, the presidency is important, and because of the increased use of executive orders and the powers of the administrative state it has some ultimate importance in many instances.
But, in my view, being despondent over the stolen presidency and all the events related to it, if taken to extremes, tends to hide and ignore how very well the GOP actually did in the 2022 elections. Doing that is a supreme act of throwing the baby out with the bath water.
That is what I would say to Trump. He should not dismiss all the GOP elections his 75+ million voters did win in 2022, and the many new Trump backed office holders they raised up.

We must fix the voting first. And if we do THAT, there is no need for some “other” party. In fact ANY other party is just as susceptible to corruption and selfish persons as any other. It is not the NAME of a party it is the PEOPLE and you cannot make ANY system to keep people out.

I say, if the Patriot party is able to gain even half of what Trump pulled in votes, it would be a very powerful voting block and would certainly have both party’s antennas up. No doubt.
I’m flat sick of the republican party...I’m not falling back in line. We’re all pissed...then come next election cycle, the republicans begin saying all the right things, coddling the base and begging for $$$.
There are a few really good conservatives in the republican party, but the majority...they’re just as power hungry, greedy and dishonest as the democrats.
