Last year you were a hero if you said, as did Kamala Harris, Gavin Newsom, and Andrew Cuomo, that you didn’t necessarily trust what the government said about vaccines. Say that today and you are a troglodyte pariah.
Now, we all know that red state, red meat, red-blooded, red-faced, retrograde Republicans are the only reason we haven’t reached herd immunity. It seems, though, that no one mentioned that (false) narrative to Alabama Governor Kay Ivey, the Republican leader of a state so red it’s literally Crimson, who chided her unvaccinated fellow citizens “for letting us all down.”
The questions surrounding taking any new drug can be daunting even in a neutral environment. In a landscape of shifting sands being blown hither and yon by very unscientific, purely political winds, it understandably becomes even more difficult. (Full disclosure: I personally have been vaccinated and would urge everyone to do so as well. I got the Johnson and Johnson shot and, except for a sudden and overwhelming urge to buy cases and cases of “No More Tears” baby shampoo and Band-Aids, it went fine).
It therefore should not come as a surprise that vaccine hesitancy exists. The consistent inconstancies of the pronouncements of the public health establishment over the past year could rightfully give anyone pause. It doesn’t make a person who was first in line at the CVS any better than the person who is still leery of the whole process – it’s just two people weighing information and coming to different conclusions.

Even my doc asserted “We know masks work...” Really? Yeah maybe in trained staff like in a hospital but not in the great public wild.
Because of the manipulation of actual science either thru a generous granting of ignorance as a reason or a more cynical medical fascism commandeering the discussion, we do not know how many people are actually dead from this disease, we do not know if there are other treatments for it such as Invermectin and we do not know just how the so called vaccines actually work long term.
Now to be told that you WILL comply and we don’t want to hear you anymore...well, that hesitancy just became a hard no, with a GFYS tossed in.

As a bearded man who’s been formally trained in the proper use of inhalation PPE, I’ve eschewed the use of masks since day 1. I worked in an asbestos remediation zone for 6 months wearing a respirator daily, and I still, to this day, worry that just one of those particles managed to get into my lungs. I laughed in the face of a physician’s assistant when they handed me a mask.
“Look at my face. This mask is useless.”
“It would make the doctor feel more comfortable if you’d wear it.”
I left that practice not 30 seconds later. Any doctor who claims they’re more comfortable around a bearded man with a loosely-fitted surgical mask is not practicing based on any scientific rigor.
Ignorance of reason is a thing. It is a practice being wholly enforced by a class of people who claim to be scientifically minded but have no interest in dissenting viewpoints. We’re not talking about the science of gravity; or the science of photosynthesis; or orbital mechanics; all things based in observable predictability and mathematical fact. We’re talking about virology and immunology, things that are taught at a very rudimentary level to 13 and 14 year old high school freshman who, at least when I was in school, understood how viruses worked in the body. Now everyone’s a scientist because they read what the CDC or the WHO said is fact without basis in predictable data. Now everyone’s a do-gooder with their masks and their shields and their hand sanitizer without a single sense to question what they’re being told and commit a single neuron of their brain to recall the lessons they learned in biology class.
History has taught us so many lessons. Tyranny never ends well for any of the people involved, yet here we are in a society where blind allegiance to a government entity is unquestioned and any dissent is devoid of fact or reason. The world has truly gone mad.

Anyone who makes a statement like that I ignore as thinking challenged imbecile.

Moderna said 95% of new vaccines FAIL to get certified for use due to problems uncovered during lengthy phase 2 + 3 trials. And yet IDIOTS give the all clear on the FRANKENSTEIN vaccines because they got the jab and felt fine after a week or a month.

During July 2021, 469 cases of COVID-19 associated with multiple summer events and large public gatherings in a town in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, were identified among Massachusetts residents; vaccination coverage among eligible Massachusetts residents was 69%. Approximately three quarters (346; 74%) of cases occurred in fully vaccinated persons (those who had completed a 2-dose course of mRNA vaccine [Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna] or had received a single dose of Janssen [Johnson & Johnson] vaccine
