Biden finds few Capitol Hill allies amid Afghanistan backlash

President Biden is getting little cover from Congress as he faces broad backlash over his handling of the U.S. withdrawal in Afghanistan.

Some Democrats, including Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), have rallied to Biden’s side and circulated White House talking points to their members. Pelosi also urged Democrats during a conference call to stand behind Biden, according to a source familiar with the conversation.

But the quick fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban, images of chaos coming out of Kabul and questions about how, and how quickly, Americans and tens of thousands of Afghan allies and their families will get evacuated have merged into broad, bipartisan frustration between the two sides of Pennsylvania Avenue.

Though Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, criticized the Trump administration’s agreement with the Taliban as “wholly inadequate,” he also didn’t spare Biden.

“I am disappointed that the Biden administration clearly did not accurately assess the implications of a rapid U.S. withdrawal,” Menendez said.

Some apologists say that Biden was simply following the plan as established by Trump, for withdrawal.

That doesn’t pass the smell test.

I say that because, on the border and other issues, this administration has worked to change and overturn policies of the Trump administration. They have actively made changes. But on Afghanistan, they make it sound like they were somehow compelled to follow a plan set up by Trump.

Stand behind Biden. Make it clear that you are one of the idiots for the next election. Please.

Interesting. These are the same people who tried to remove DJT for a phone call and for an “insurrection” of which he had no part.

But Creepy Old Joe can follow the orders of shadow government, many people have died (and likely, many more will die) but all is good . . .

There is zero reason for any Republican to support anything being proposed by Democrats. Vote NO on everything.

These idiots canceled everything Trump had planned and put in their own strategy.
Trump’s withdrawal would have had this done by 5/1/21 and we would not have left behind the hardware, the Air Force Base and all the citizens of the USA.
Kamala bragged about being the last person in the room when this decision was made on April 13th of this year. Biden set the date of 9/11 for a symbolic victory and now won’t even be able to show his face in public on that anniversary.
This whole narrative will fall apart with a few simple facts.

That’s what I’m talking about.

They were not shy about changing policies of Trump they wanted to change. If they really disagreed with the Trump outline for withdrawal from Afghanistan, they would have changed it, just as they changed many other Trump era policies. But they didn’t. Then after the fact they make it sound like they were only following Trump’s plan. Give me a break.

Democrats in America are quickly morphing into “targets of opportunity”, just like they are NOW in Kabul. They are hiding in Washington and elsewhere, except when re-imagining in PUBLIC.

I have no complaints. Thats the thing about Democrats. Give them enough rope and they will hang each other, and those who are not hung will be betrayed by their own, tied up and sodomized in public.

I laugh and spit on their Democrat shadows, farting copiously in their general direction.

And I mourn for America.

Why has Biden disappeared? He has discovered that his re-imagined world bears little resemblance to the world we really do live in. And Joe has to be isolated so he can re-imagine something where he can face his audience of re-imaginers!

Idiots!

President Trump: “ Miss me yet?”

Mitch McConnell bears a large portion of the responsibility for the election of Joe Biden. And Mitch needs to pay big time.

Hecklers Unite! Go after Joe and his Obamoid White House Staff. Make ‘em pay in PUBLIC!

Alahwahoo Fubar!

They will try to spin that, but it's a lie.

Zero reason - except for the fact that they're nice and cozy in the Swamp with their DemocRAT buds, becoming millionaires with all the graft.

Meanwhile amidst this emergency, the Dem Congress is going full speed ahead to have their silly hearing on the bullhorn guy and the 70 year old grandma who embarked on their “serious” insurrection attempt to overthrow the US government and root out the “serious” threat of nonexistent domestic white terrorists

Why has Biden disappeared?

For the same reason it took him four days to appear before the nation after Kabul fell, which is the same reason he disappeared for days before and after the debates. He needs that long to be carefully medicated to a level where he appears alert and coherent, and more time to come down after that. Did his speech at Sunday’s address seem far less awkward than it usually does? Did he stumble over his words, or lose his train of thought as we are used to seeing him do? He was different for that one occasion. It’s all about the dosage.

They actually did change it.. Significantly.
Beyond the most obvious examples which are in my last post there is also the fact that he removed air support, conditions of the handover, and all our troops before getting the most vulnerable out.
Now we will be dealing with public executions and POW’s for the first time in 50 years in the biggest foreign policy debacle of my lifetime.
When asked about leaving women and girls behind, Biden reportedly exclaimed “F@#$ That!”.

Trump would never, ever have done these things. His scandals were political and manufactured by criminal career intelligence operatives.
Biden is making sure America is never great again and doing a spectacular job!

“Trump’s withdrawal would have had this done by 5/1/21 and we would “

Only if the Taliban met the conditions they agreed to. The “5/1/21” wasn’t an immovable date. Am I correct?

Yes, indeed. Trump’s entire plan was conditional and would have provided air support while holding onto Bagram.
We didn’t even hand it off. We merely abandoned it. Shameful execution of a good policy.
