Will the Oath Keepers Founder Spill on the Jan. 6 Organizers?
Daily Beast ^ | Jan 6 | Jose Pagliery

Posted on 01/06/2022 3:05:15 AM PST by RandFan

Stewart Rhodes has insight into the role that Michael Flynn, Roger Stone, and Ali Alexander played in recruiting his militia group. Will he tell the Jan. 6 committee?

Stewart Rhodes, the founder of the Oath Keepers, has the power to burn some top right-wing personalities who pissed him off. It’s unclear if he’ll actually do it.

Members of the Oath Keepers, the far-right militia group which featured prominently during last year’s attack on the U.S. Capitol, feel betrayed by the headliners of the protests that day—names like Michael Flynn, Roger Stone, and Ali Alexander. According to the Oath Keeper’s lawyer, those organizers of the Jan. 6, 2021, rally asked the militia to stand guard for them on that fateful day.

If that’s really the case, it could introduce even more culpability for those GOP figures.

But Rhodes hasn’t decided yet whether he’ll answer questions at his upcoming testimony before the Jan. 6 committee, according to a person familiar with this thinking.

Rhodes was slated to appear before the House panel in a closed-door hearing this week, according to an attorney with direct knowledge of the arrangement, but the testimony was postponed for unclear reasons. If and when Rhodes does appear, though, he could shine a light on a number of key questions for investigators. Rhodes has information about the planning, coordination, and intent of organizers, as well as any possible preparations for violence and connections to government officials.

Rhodes has floated the idea of asserting his Fifth Amendment right against self-discrimination, because he spoke with FBI agents last year about rally organizers and speakers, according to an attorney representing the militia group.

Even if Rhodes—a Yale-educated lawyer—does decide to answer questions, there’s no guarantee he will clear much up for the House committee.

The Daily Beast thinks Rhodes is going to spill on Trump officials or supporters but WE want to know about any potential FED involvement and of course the role of Ray Epps.

That is the REAL question!

Maybe the Oath Keepers started off with honest intentions, but along the way...with Fed mingling and suggestive things...they lost that honest intentions business.

btw everything in the article suggests Rhodes is part of the Deep State.

This article is so pathetically stupid. The author acts as if Flynn and Stone wanted Oath Keeps to provide cover fire for the ones storming the Capital and this guy can testify to that. THIS IS A GIANT ZERO.

Some are feds, some are fed informants, some I would imagine are state informants.

They as a whole should just disband.

I've been saying that police would infiltrate a bowling beer league.

“self-discrimination”

Is that like if I make myself sit in the back of the bus?

Still nobody has specified exactly what “crime” Trump has supposedly committed. If the worst case scenario is he didn’t act quickly enough to tell the “rioters” to stand down, that’s pretty weak stuff.

He had transgressed The Unwritten Law.

Not quite “any” organization as they know it’s illegal to do such. So they still DO NOT infiltrate Leftist/Muslim organizations (the actual terrorists in this country) because they know they won’t be protected by the Deep State and the Media, so they only tear apart conservative groups...and they didn’t even do much of that until the Tea Party scared the crap out of them.

January 6th was at worst basically an 'Occupy Congress' that went horribly wrong. The violence involved doesn't hold a candle compared to the over 300 violent riots run by BLM, Antica, white liberal 'elites' and communists.

Honest people on the left know this... the others are lying or gullible.

How do we know January 6te wasn't an insurrection? Because conservative Americans would NOT CHOOSE FLAG POLES AS THEIR WEAPON OF CHOICE IF the goal was an insurrection.
