In the year since the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, a handful of Democrats, constitutional scholars and pro-democracy advocates have been quietly exploring how a post-Civil War amendment to the Constitution might be used to disqualify former President Trump from holding office again.
Calls for Congress to take steps to strip Trump of his eligibility, which reached a crescendo in the aftermath of the Jan. 6 riot, have since decreased. But those who remain engaged on the issue say discussions about applying Section 3 of the 14th Amendment have been ongoing....

Not one “terrorist” or “insurrectionist” has been charged as such. These were the antifa, etc in the crowd and they should all be ID’d, charged and prosecuted with anything that’ll stick.
If they do this then blood on the streets Loretta lynch and plenty of active congressional and government folks need to be outed.
Trump just lays his mantle on someone else and runs it like Obama does.
If these scholars are pro democracy, then they are not constitutional scholars.
The Democrats irrational fear of Trump has reached the point of a diagnosable phobia.
I think the driving fear here is that it’s not all Republicans and Independents on this Trump ‘wagon’. There’s probably 10-to-20 percent of Democrats who were willing to vote Trump, instead of Hillary or Biden. In that type of environment, it hinders the entire party and various levels.
I will add this...DeSantis is the same ‘brand’ and the whole Democratic Party has a problem finding quality candidates to go against either Trump or DeSantis.
The only kind of candidates the Democrats can find are those that want to be president for their own profit.
Being Democrat these days precludes being a good candidate.
Quality candidates? I can’t think of one Democrat at the federal level who has achieve the level of simpleton, never mind the candidates.
Systemic stuffing of the ballot box by government election officials would be an abridgment of the votes cast by citizens of the state.

The DemonKKKraps lost their opportunity with their last impeachment attempt for what President Trump said at the January 6th rally.
They will be really surprised at what Trump comes up with when he gets access to video evidence of F.B.I. instigation efforts to promote the violence. If that evidence is not made available to him, it would be cause for a mistrial.
