Dem Sen. Menendez: Putin ‘Has to Think About How Many Body Bags Is He Willing to Accept’ in Invading Ukraine

Monday, Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) warned Russian President Vladimir Putin to consider how many “body bags” he is willing to accept if he were to invade Ukraine.

Menendez said on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports” that the Ukrainian people would “do whatever is necessary to defend” their country. He added an insurgency from Ukraine would “send a lot of Russia’s sons back to Russia in a body bag.”

Might bold talk for a perverted only fat man. The more important question is how many body bags are Xiden’s handlers willing to accept in stopping him? And I think we all know the answer to that, don’t we?

I like the Babylon Bee’s idea that people who are for a war get automatically enlisted.

I’m sure Putin is frightened of our he/she/it/them/non-binary military force…

Wrap his little cuban butt up in olive drab and send him over if he is so fired up. Give him a gun and a clip and see how long he lasts.

Meanwhile, plugs is up to his armpits in conflict of interest with Ukraine.

How about a little blackmail there slo-joe?

Why would you make such a statement? Both Russia and Ukraine will make their own determinations. They don’t need a corrupt, old man from neither country egging them on.

Likely answer: very few body bags. And huge and scary monetary cost rebuilding the shiite-hole the Ukraine has become.— and this is something Putin does not want!

A lot less body bags needed to take all of Biden's Covid fatalities.

That’s the truth. It Melendez read anything about the Eastern Front during WW2 he’d know the Hell on Earth Russian soldiers have fought in.

Can’t the same thing be said for Joe Biden, how many Americans in body bags under Biden will the public put up with ??

Fighting Russia won’t be the same as fighting Al Qaeda, Taliban or ISIS. Russia has a Navy, Air Force and a relatively modern Army.

Even if the US were to prevail, it would almost certainly come at a cost that makes Iraq and Afghanistan look like a minor battle.

If Menendez ever bothered to read history, he would know that Stalin wasn’t overly concerned about casualties. Thousands of Russian soldiers killed in battle never got a burial. Instead, Stalin had trees planted around the bodies.

Ways to address economic failures (inflation)
Raise interest rates
Raise everyone’s taxes
Start a war.
I don’t think politicians have learned any new ways.

Russia would be brought to its knees by a boycott of its exports of oil and gas. Revving up U.S. production of energy, including transportation infrastructure so as to get energy to Europe, was Trump’s plan to dissuade Russian belligerency.

As for body bags, I think Putin cares more about his expensive tanks and combat aircraft. Supplying Ukraine with defensive missiles, technical support and training, would make an invasion expensive in ways Putin understands.

Now, consider the following numbers:

Russia, population - 144 million
NATO, population - 945 million

Russia, military budget - $62 billion
NATO, military budget - $1.05 trillion

(also, consider adding in Finland, Sweden, Ukraine and Georgia to NATO)

Russia’s toady Armenia thought to have a war with Azerbaijan a couple years ago, and got its ass kicked. Azerbaijan used drones from Turkey and Israel to totally destroy the Armenian army. This was a good look at the continually changing battlefield.

Russia responded in part by putting cages on its tanks. The idea of the cage is to cause anti-tank missiles that attack from above, using a shaped charge, to go off prematurely and - hopefully - have their heat blast dissipate before penetrating the tank’s armor and causing catastrophic damage. Maybe this will work and maybe not.

An army with well-trained and courageous infantrymen is hard to beat. Not like those sonsabitches in Afghanistan and Iraq that we squandered thousands of lives and trillions of dollars to train, the worthless bastards.

Let’s not be like Neville Chamberlain at Munich. Let’s not support armies that are like the French of WWII. Let’s support those who want to be like the Americans of WWII.

Its weird how the America’s woke/radical left have become the war-mongering party.

But then again after all, they are statists, they have a religious zealot’s belief in their globalist, woke ideology, and they are tied to the government deep-state for their power, position and $$$.

Wait - I just described the former Soviet Union.

Please explain why we need to have Russia surrounded and kick their ass in the first place? How does that benefit average Americans who are connected to DC or the MIC?
