BRUSSELS, March 24. /TASS/. NATO will not send forces to Ukraine, because it would lead to a full-scale conflict with Russia, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said at a press conference Thursday.

"At the same time, we have a responsibility to ensure that the conflict [in Ukraine] does not become a full-fledged war between NATO and Russia," Stoltenberg said, answering a question about Poland’s proposal to send a peacekeeping mission to Ukraine. "We will not deploy troops on the ground in Ukraine, because the only way to do that is to be prepared to engaged in a full conflict with Russian troops".

I’ve been saying the same thing every day since 2/24. The NATO neocons must be really rattled. The Secretary General is now as big a Putin stooge as I am told I am.

They are rattled because they are unprepared. NATO is far cry from where it was when I made a brief to them around 12 years ago.

How stooopid. Why announce what you are going to do or what you are not going to do. That’s the difference between Trump and these fools.

Why send troops? Just give the Ukrainian honey badgers tons of armaments. They are doing a great job.

Well, you’re not a Putin stooge because NATO is a defense pact. Ukraine is not a part of NATO. Had Russia attacked Hungary or Poland it would be completely different.

Appeasement and failing to confront tyranny is exactly how the world entered World War ll. The choice it hard, but failure to act before everyone has been attacked with Russian nuclear weapons, and our ability to respond has been eliminated, does not seem very farsighted. Chamberlain is famous for a similar approach with Hitler.

Exactly. This information could have been relayed to Ukraine quietly through a diplomatic channel. It certainly strengthens Putin’s hand in any peace negotiations. Stupid!

And was he wringing his hands and clucking when he said it?

“Please Bad Vlad, don’t get mad at us. See? We won’t interfere with your mass murder! We’ll just stand by and avert our eyes!”

But of course he’ll feel bad for the misfortunates being slaughtered. And feelings are the only thing that are important.

“full conflict with Russian troops”.

Uh Huh. That aint it. The Russian troops aint the problem.

I will give them at least this..they know that escalation is a hell of a thing and that several cities in Europe are at risk.

Unlike the chest thumpers on this site, he gets at least that much.

As much as I would Ike to see Ukraine be victorious over Russia, letting Ukraine fall into the Russian sphere of influence is not worth a nuclear or near nuclear war. Sorry Uker’s but that is the cold hard truth.

Biden pooped his pants again. If I’m Latvia, Lithuania Or Estonia I’m going “Oh $^@+, I’m #*@&ed!”. Poland better hurry up building their nukes because they may need them sooner than later.

Great tactic NATO. Even if you don’t plan to send troops to Ukraine, don’t take it off the table. What F’n idiots.

“Why announce what you are going to do or what you are not going to do”

Brandon and company have been doing it from the beginning.

Shows true weakness, ignorance and lack of experience when dealing with an enemy.......unless of course it’s the American people....then they are masters of surprise.

This is such a non-story. There was ZERO CHANCE NATO was sending troops to fight in the Ukraine. Absolutely ZERO.

Yup. Biden & Company are rank amateurs when it comes to this sort of thing; and, yet, he shamelessly pranced about proclaiming that his STRONGPOINT was foreign affairs!
