The reason I’m inclined to trust Vance is that, as an acclaimed author, he has everything to lose and nothing to gain by embracing MAGA, as far as acceptance by his literary/art world peers.
The Libs will go after him, just like they did with Trump, who betrayed his Manhattan/Hamptons A list celebrity status by going to flyover country to speak in front of Evangelicals, and told them “you people are better than me in many ways”.
That made Trump a heretic in the eyes of the coastal elite. Before that, every celebrity was happy to pose for pics with him and invite him to parties.
For Vance, the reprisals could be more damaging, as he’s not nearly as wealthy as Trump, and he’s still a young guy.
Runoffs are only in the South.
Sadly, Crenshaw’s voters still think he represents them.
I listen to war room daily and so have listened at length to both—Vance seems to smarter. I don’t live in OH but I like voting for whoever seems to be the smartest conservative (can’t always tell by public speaking).
(And DeSantis is whip smart—went to Yale and Harvard.)

Are you kidding? He’s running for the Senate...he has everything to gain by embracing Trump. He wont win without it.

With the MTG, Gaetz and Cortes backing, he must be a MAGA guy.
It's a gamble, but it's always a gamble. In deciding how to cast our vote, all we can do is look at the available evidence and take our best shot.
As a former supporter of Dan Crenshaw, among others, I can testify that sometimes it doesn't work out.
He has everything to lose in his personal life.
