NATO Moves Into Finland as Russia Threatens Response

Reports are surfacing of military equipment of the United States and other NATO countries on the Russia-Finland border. U.S. and NATO armored vehicles were spotted on the border, along with Finnish tanks and armored personnel vehicles, according to a translation of a Shraibikus News report. There have been reports of military exercises in Finland, but Russian intelligence reportedly suspects the military buildup will remain until Finland joins NATO. The report also indicates Finnish authorities are anticipating Finland joining NATO within a few months. Russian analysts consider the military presence on the Russia-Finland border to be a threat, particularly as NATO allies are supplying lethal aid to Ukraine amid the Russian invasion. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko told RIANovosti that Russia is watching the situation and will consider a potential response. "It is clear that from the point of view of security we will not remain indifferent," Grushko said. "Our military will consider all the necessary measures that may be required to ensure the legitimate interests of defense." While the forces conducting the exercises are likely doing so to defend Finland against an invasion by Russia, Grushko added it represents a dangerous escalation that makes neither Finland nor NATO more safe. "This will not strengthen the security of either Finland or NATO itself," Grushko told RIA Novosti.

So Pidor Putin invades Ukraine supposedly to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO and now Finland and Sweden are joining NATO. And now Pidor Putin has American forces digging in 160km from St. Petersburg.

What an idiot!

This isn’t news, NATO has already moved into the Ukraine. That’s what forced Putin’s hand.

The USA needs to get the he[[ out of NATO immediately. If not sooner.

“Russia is watching the situation and will consider a potential response.”

LOL, Russia can’t manage invading a 2nd world pitstop like Ukraine, I really don’t think they want a repeat of the Winter War.

This is about Finland hosting NATO forces. Meaning that Finland is right now a defacto member of NATO.

What’s Putin going to do about it? Whine like the little kvitch he is? LOL.

Has there been any attempt at all for negotiation? I thought that’s what Democrats were good at, supposedly.

Yeah really. He sort of lost his bargaining chip when it was exposed his paper tiger conscript army is a mess. Only thing he has is the nuclear chip and I bet those missiles are mostly rusty old Cold war relics. May need a traincar of WD40 to get them to launch...

“the Russian ruble is raising and backed by gold”

The ruble is only rising on the Russian government controlled domestic market. Starting on June 6th the Trade Association for the Emerging Markets will be using international pricing data as a primary settlement rate option for currency trades and contracts.

In short, the onshore and offshore trading rates for the ruble will resume their Soviet-era posture where the rate within Russia was held up by dictatorial fiat and the international rate was delineated by trading volumes.

Translation: You might want to ditch your ruble holdings while you can.

Yeah, because NATO is known to aggressively invade neighboring countries all the time.

Weird, but the only unrest that actually plaques that continent comes from the communist or muslim nations. Yet, when those same nations accuse NATO of being threatening or aggressive we have tons of folks here join the chorus.

“Has there been any attempt at all for negotiation?”

Here’s the deal: Russia stops the war, withdraws to their borders, and then we can talk about how much they owe Ukraine for reparations and rebuilding. The Russians are also going to have to hand over Putin and his friends for war crimes trials.

No, the story I cited is from yesterday. Your story is two years old.

“NATO provocation”

Yup. Putin now has American and NATO forces 160km away from St. Petersburg.

So what’s he going to do about it?

The US government is just begging for a fight. Pushing, prodding, instigating. First walking Ukraine into destruction and now using my homeland as a ‘Human shield’.
Can anyone blame Russia if they preemptively strike the US at the many close proximitity build ups they have staged, or even come at us on the continental United States?
I think we all need to put our heads between our legs, “Duck, and cover!” And kiss our asses goodbye.
