Voters on Tuesday will decide the political fates of three House Republicans who voted to impeach former President Donald Trump last year for his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.
Reps. Peter Meijer, R-Mich., Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Wash., and Dan Newhouse, R-Wash., are all competing against Trump-backed primary challengers as the contests mark the latest test of the former president's influence in GOP elections.
After Tuesday, Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., will be the last House Republican who supported impeachment still facing a primary. Cheney, vice chair of the committee investigating the deadly riot and Trump's efforts to overturn the 2020 election, has encountered particularly stiff headwinds back home in Wyoming. That primary is on Aug. 16.

Unfortunately, I don’t know of anybody running against Newhouse. The other two are likely toast.
We’ll see how 26 million of Kevin McCarthy’s PAC worked at keeping Jamie Beutler ass in her seat. That dirty bastard has dumped all over conservative and DJT endorsed Joe Kent with half truths and blatant lies.
My gut tells me, Washington 3rd district is not going to buy the McCarthy lies. Joe Kent is the real deal. Trump won this district in 2020 SIGNIFICANTLY.
People think Washington State in full of leftards, not really, they own 8 of the 32 Washington State counties! The problem is 7 of the 8 counties are in the most densely populated areas of the state, Pugetopolis and the 8th is right across the Columbia River from Portlandia.

All the phony “impeachment” Republicans are hanging on for deal life. The deal being the post-legislative positions as lobbyists and “consultants”, as they then pretend to look out for “conservative interests”, while simultaneously subverting those same interests.
As an example, consider the “smother approach” of fundraisers for certain campaigns, as they blanket e-mail users everywhere with repetitious calls for on-line donations, sometimes several a day. Serious supporters of those in whose name these “campaign managers” claim to be acting of the behalf of, are turned off by the constant din of these demands for more and more support, and their support dries up, which is why Republicans seem to be getting fewer and fewer “small dollar” contributions, while Democrats seem to be doing much better.
These “campaign managers’ seem to be gearing up to snatch defeat from the very jaws of victory. THERE IS NO RED WAVE IF WE DO NOT MAINTAIN THE MOMENTUM FOR THE RED WAVE.
Annihilation may be near, and if we do not reverse this trend, it shall be our own.
A guy named Culp is running against Newhouse.
There’s 5 Republicans running trying to be one of the top two (regardless of party), that goes to the general in November. Loren Culp, he used to be a sheriff in the district. Mr. Culp has a lot of name recognition since he was the silver medalist in the 2020 gubernatorial race. There’s another guy, Brad Klippert who has enough recognition to be the spoiler in this race.
I hope Mr. Culp pulls it off, we could use another conservative from Central Washington to keep Cathy McMorris Rodgers company and from going wobbly in her older years, not that she’s showing signs, its just best to keep our guys on their toes.

Now is when we have to defeat RINOs. After the primary hold your nose and vote Republican no matter what. A RINO is still better than any D. People that refuse to vote for a Republican, even a RINO, over a D is why we have a Democrat Party House and a Senate controlled by Democrat Party.
In battle I would rather have a poor soldier on my side than a determined soldier of the enemy.
I can’t vote in these races, but I donated to Gibbs and Hageman.
RNC chair, Ronna Romney, sure isn’t helping. She predicted that “we” would only pick up 4 seats in November.
Of course, she may have been referring to RINO seats, in that case, it would be a good thing.
The senate seats there would be the big enchilada if we could steal it in a wave election. That would be the 5th or 6th senate pickup-a bridge too far perhaps. Getting rid of the 2 trump haters there would only help.
