Eric Trump, the second son of the former president, said his family is in possession of surveillance tapes of the FBI raid at Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, and this footage will "absolutely" be released "at the right time."

"Will you—you still have the surveillance tape, is that correct? Will you—are you allowed to share that with the country?" Fox News host Sean Hannity asked Eric Trump on Monday.

"Absolutely, Sean. At the right time," Eric Trump replied, adding that all law enforcement officers, including FBI agents, should wear body cameras for transparency reasons.

Contrary to the liberal narrative, he went to prison for setting off bombs and murdering people. He was a communist terrorist.

The FBI agents are far from being very smart. They achieve their advantage by swarming their victims. Same as young black hoods do. Below, 3 FBI swarmed this Republican Congressman to grab his phone. Did they even show a real or jazzed up warrant? OK.... It seems the FBI presented a warrant.

__________

Republican Rep. Scott Perry of Pennsylvania said Tuesday that the FBI had seized his cell phone.
“This morning, while traveling with my family, 3 FBI agents visited me and seized my cell phone,” he said in part in a statement.

When the raid occurred, there were stories that the FBI asked that all security cameras be turned off. Why would they ask such a thing?

Can officers conducting a search warrant legally require that recording devices be turned off? Is there a penalty for not complying?

Did you not read the part of my comment about cops Gerri f caught on camera
Doing dumb sh*t?

Watch the police audit videos and you’ll be there all day.

https://policetribune.com/bodycam-advocates-now-claim-body-cameras-are-a-threat-to-civil-rights/ ….translation- the cops can write accurate reports clearly demonstrating the bad guys guilt.

https://www.pilotonline.com/government/local/vp-nw-body-camera-footage-attorneys-workload-20190908-jqpd7sr4qffz3jgtjhjoqn3vyy-story.html

If a dept doesn’t have camera it’s usually a funding issue. They get the cameras for free. Pay out the nose for data storage and maintenance

I clicked your first link about departments not having cameras.

Clearly you didn’t actually read any of the articles. Just tried to throw some shade.

Actually reading the articles, you’d find that as I stated a Monet ago, it’s about funding and that the departments in question were in the process of getting them. It’s all about the money.

translation- the cops can write accurate reports clearly demonstrating the bad guys guilt.

Translation: The cops (often) control when the camera is on or off, control the recorded files, control who sees them, and get to watch them before writing their reports. That's a nice privilege to have when you need to make your "facts" fit the video.

I read the articles and have followed the issue for years. Police Unions and departments have dragged their feet the entire way for both dash and body cams.

Once forced, they ask for concessions like being able to turn them off and on and controlling the release.

You can deny that right here on a thread about the FBI turning off cameras to do their deeds in the dark, if you like.

Why would they ask such a thing?

Because Law Enforcement (at all levels) are not your friends. They ALWAYS want the advantage and ability to control 'facts.'

And you have know about the cameras and what the FBI knew, how?

The fbi subpoenaed the subservience footage from all security cameras long before this raid. So they would know where the cameras are unless Trump violated the subpoena. Second, the fbi knew the cameras were not on because the Trump team openly stated they would not turn them off.

And as I understand it, the FBI doesn’t make recordings of interviews, the agents take ‘notes’ and these notes are the official record of what was said and not said.

That said my question was really asking what ‘official’ reason would they give for having security cameras turned off?

Can someone explain to me under what authority does the FBI issue a command to turn surveillance cameras off? Cameras are neutral, merely recording what is happening. Wouldn’t this be unconstitutional since the cameras would have the effect of preventing an unreasonable search and seizure? This cannot be a legal command...

Just which banana republic do these FBI agents think they are in?

Oh, yes, there are surveillance systems! Just remember Trump was involved with casino gambling for a long time. I’m sure he has the best system money can buy. Remember when reporters accused one of his campaign staff of pushing a reporter? He had several feeds available almost immediately.

control when the camera is on or off .... they can do that. often times they don’t as the cameras have been helped cops more than they’ve hurt. If a cop is dirty, he’s dirty. Sometimes the cameras, during a fight will go off, sure. Not as often as you would like though.

control the recorded files....they do. It’s called evidence. They can’t alter the video. It’s on a server and/or cloud. Simple subpoenas or warrants get the footage. Yes, they can control when the video is released, outside of that, the video is the video.

control who sees them ..... the videos are evidence. Part of Discovery that EVERY defense attorney is allowed.

get to watch them before writing their reports .... yes. And they get to write accurate reports because of it. During the course of a footchase, car chase or fight, they may not remember everthing. Imagine that. But, I’m sure you’ve been in so many high stress, split second decision events during your life that everything is old hat to you.

So....at the end of the day, you dragged this conversation away from the original topic and exposed yourself to be, 100% a Cop Hater. Your prerogative.
