Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) is condemning health care establishments for normalizing sex change surgery for minors, calling it "dangerous."
During an interview, DeSantis claimed that "gender-affirming care is a euphemism for disfiguring kids," pointing out how absurd it is to push the left's woke gender ideology on children.
"At the end of the day, if you look what's happening in our society, you see institutions being infected with ideology at the expense of facts and reality," DeSantis said, adding that "experts" who push radical ideologies of promoting sex change on minors are going down a very dangerous road.
"We're fighting this thing with the medical board because they want to do sex change operations for minors. … A 14-year-old cannot get a tattoo, but somehow …. they will do mastectomies, they will do stuff at the bottom which is very, very problematic and irreversible," DeSantis said.
The Florida governor announced that he and his administration will focus on not recruiting teachers who have been "taken over by ideology" but educators who share the same values as DeSantis.

Isn’t that a misnomer? Wouldn’t it be “gender affirming”, if we treated these kids in ways which “affirmed” their actual sex? Wouldn’t it actually affirm their actual gender, if we counseled these boys that they are male, and the girls that they are female???

It wasn’t too long ago that I used to blast Muslim countries for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), but even FGM cannot hold a candle to what what the West is doing to their own kids.
Like someone said, if there are truly so many genders to choose from then why does “gender reassignment surgery” only have 2 options?
If kids can’t drink or smoke till 18 r 21 or whatever age, then it’s a no Brainer that they shouldn’t be allowed to get themselves mutilated irrevocably before becoming an adult.
Delusional adults need help. Clearly they have some mental condition, if they think they aren’t really the sex that they are.

My vote is to make Age 21 the minimum for it, if we’re still to have it. If they’re too young to drink or (now) smoke, then they’re too young to cut off their twang...but I wouldn’t oppose it being outlawed totally either.

You are aware that there are adults who imagine themselves blind and request eye surgeons to remove their eyes, right? You are aware that there are adults who have always imagined themselves in a wheelchair who ask general surgeons to amputate their legs?
Those operations are, rightly in my opinion, illegal and if done result in loss of license.
Why is this different?
If an adult wants to mutilate themselves then that's their choice. A child is not old enough to make that decision. If a young child tells you that they feel like a girl in a boy's body then they're just regurgitating something that their parents or another adult put into their head. Children react to and mimic suggestions from adults, it's how nature designed us to learn from our parents. The problem arises when you have parents that are lefty zealots who want their children to be pawns of the trans mafia and convince their children that they want it also. Then you have children doing irreparable harm to their bodies which will destroy their lives.
All of this, within three years will start a cascade of lawsuits....going into the tens of thousands, with the whole landscape of mental/physical clinic operations conducting these being bankrupt. I’ll predict over 12 months, they will all disappear.

EACH and EVERY child that gets mutilated and abused like this will be SERIOUSLY F’d up for those that reach adulthood. The suicide rate will be astronomical in addition to drug deaths, insanity etc......
Right now, The Western world is basically in a wolf-of-wall-street Quaalude stupor right now, completely oblivious to the horrors that have taken us over-—very similar to the insanity of the 1940’s.
Eventually, reality will hit the world again one day — but there will be a lot of dead bodies before it happens.
I hear you...but I would definitely limit the fight to children now, if we get into the adult world, it will be a tougher fight, not help us as much, and meanwhile kids will be getting mutilated daily.
I have contacted the state Dept of Ed here in pa and ordered them to cease and desist with practicing medicine without a license regarding the transgender stuff.
i remember now when i had facebook, like in 2008, an old ultra-left-lib friend from camp would post incessantly against circumcision of babies because it’s not the childs choice.

Suppose a 14 year old girl, five foot two and 100 pounds, looks in the mirror and believes with her whole heart and every fiber of her being that she is grossly fat. She goes to her parents and wants them to approve diet pills and baryatric surgery.

In either case, the parents would have to be insane to go along with the request.
