House Majority Whip Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) said Friday on “The Situation Room” that if Republicans led by former President Donald Trump win majorities in next week’s midterm elections, we are “going to see this democracy come to a crashing halt.”
Anchor Brianna Keilar asked, “You recently compared America right now to Germany in the early 1930s. That’s what you said. And you said that we’re on track to repeat what happened in Germany here in America. Can you explain what you see happening here in America that prompted you to say that?”

This current DC democrat party form of democracy needs to come to a crashing halt because it’s communistic and dictatorial and it’s ruining everything that was good about this country. Halt it already!!

Could be they are setting the stage for something dramatic, perhaps judge shopping and getting elections overturned in critical races, perhaps something more dramatic like riots in the street and/or a real violent insurrection to keep themselves installed. After 2020 we not only can’t rule it out, in fact we ought to expect it. And they will say “We had to save democracy, the stakes were that high”
