VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Democrat Aaron Rouse has defeated Republican Kevin Adams in the race for Virginia’s 7th Senate District, flipping the seat formerly held by Republican Jen Kiggans, according to unofficial election results.
It was a close race, with Rouse up by 348 votes with all precincts reporting, 19,430 votes to Adams’ 19,082, results show.
It appears to be unofficially outside the margin of 1/2 percent that would allow a candidate to ask for a recount and not have to pay for it. Rouse was behind until the early voting in person started coming in. Then when early absentee votes came in Rouse won those by about 4-1, and was never behind after that.
The former Virginia Beach councilman and NFL player took the stage to thank supporters just before 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday as his team declared victory.
“I’m just so excited that Virginia Beach has my back and I have there’s all the way to Richmond,” Rouse said. “… I’m a native here. I grew up in a place where I had a chance to come home and serve on a local governing body. Do good things and [voters] remember that.”
Adams, a Navy veteran who campaigned on crime as high number one issue, also thanked his supporters on Tuesday night. He and Rouse both raised about a million dollars each.

Specifically, those were almost 6,000 early MAIL-IN ballots, which comprised almost 16 percent of total votes cast. 4,400 early in-person ballots were split 50:50.
It was big in their media market. Abortion was one of the focus issues the leftist used to promote fear. Both candidates came across as suitable to task and intelligent.
Get used to it this is our future voting system. They will cheat until they win. I’m just warning everybody here that Texas will no longer be red come 2024. You guys are going to be in shock when Texas votes for the vegetable in chief. Do you think all those illegals are being let in just for the hell of it? Those invaders are walking breathing democrat votes! Consider America next in line to become another communist Brazil and Venezuela. I’ve been telling folks for some time now that once Texas is gone to the dark side America is crooked. They have perfected the cheating, and the big major elections that need to be robbed. America is in a downward spiral going fast into the abyss. And it’s like I’ve told people ..our nation has fallen off the cliff already all that’s needed is for it to go spat.
They must have picked up this tactic from the election fraudsters in California.
This and vote harvesting is how Democrats flipped Republican seats in red counties.
Solid observations all. I do hasten to add one additional ingredient though: The census and redistricting, the explanation to the opposition by the uni-party to differentiating between Americans and the uni-party’s invited invaders during the census count - and why O’butthead’s former AG, Eric Holder is deeply involvement in redistricting. Next time you read about all those hordes being flown throughout the country - we will understand why.
