Sultry, flat, ravished by Gulf influenced tornados, hurricanes, various T-storms. Beaches, Pascagoula... what’s not to like?
I spent a lot of my life in the hurricane zones, I think if I was going to retire these days it would be something a little bit different like maybe Northern Missouri, the Ozarks or Western Oklahoma or Western Kansas something away from the direct influence of the GOM...

I have never lived there but have been there several times. The scenery is beautiful and the people are very nice. I would choose Mississippi over any blue state craphole. My current state of residence (New Mexico) is currently #49 in everything and is rapidly degenerating into a 3rd world craphole. Maybe a move to Mississippi is in the future.
Me too, right on the beach at the Seashore Manor Retirement Home (now Seashore Oaks) in 1975 while in the USAF. They let Airmen and their wives stay there. The retired women adopted our young wives, and it was mutually beneficial.
