Cyabra researchers identify 3 networks of potentially hundreds of thousands of fake accounts criticizing DeSantis and Haley, in manipulation of mainstream US Republican sentiment.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Over the past 11 months, someone created thousands of fake, automated Twitter accounts — perhaps hundreds of thousands of them — to offer a stream of praise for Donald Trump.
Besides posting adoring words about the former president, the fake accounts ridiculed Trump’s critics from both parties and attacked Nikki Haley, the former South Carolina governor and UN ambassador who is challenging her onetime boss for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.
When it came to Ron DeSantis, the bots aggressively suggested that the Florida governor couldn’t beat Trump, but would be a great running mate.

But to your point, these stories aren’t calling out Musk for “allowing this/not cracking down on it” so it could very well be fake news. Or maybe Musk wants the daily user count for his ad revenues. Like I said who’s to know the truth when everyone gains by spinning their agenda?

You might be right, but my guess is that the bots are real, and were created by the Democrats, maybe even with the help of one of the imbecilic “intelligence” agencies that have decided to take sides in domestic politics.
Interesting how everyone is up in arms about foreign intervention in our elections, but the Israelis have been doing it for decades and no one says a word.
