Let me correct you: “No one in our present CIA or FBI has solid credentials”.
The old timers were solid. When I underwent one of my security clearance interviews, in 2006/7, a recently retired FBI agents conducted the interviews.
The 25 year retired FBI agent complained then about the new agents they were hiring. Back then he voiced his concern about the lowered standards, the “ girlie boys”, the political agenda, the push to get unqualified female agents, etc….he was very happy to leave the Bureau.
Yes, the FBI went from the premier law enforcement agency in the world to a sewer where it is now.
