Bud Light only has a few months to prevent sustained market share loss, warns former Anheuser-Busch sales exec

Bud Light needs to come up with a cogent strategy to win back customers in the next few months, a former executive warned, or its market share losses could become permanent.

Come September, retailers are expected to begin reallocating the limited shelf space by relying on sales data from the preceding months.

In Bud Light’s case, that could mean a diminished presence going forward following the controversy over its brief partnership with a transgender influencer, according to Anson Frericks.

A president of sales and distribution at Budweiser’s U.S. parent Anheuser-Busch until his departure in April 2022, he told the Daily Mail that rivals like Coors Lite and Yuengling could then remain a more prominent fixture in stores following this "reset."

“Those brands will have a better likelihood to succeed long term because they have more shelf space, they have more inventory, they have more back-stock, and they have more availability for consumers," he said.

The warning by Frericks, who cofounded his own asset management firm after more than a decade at the mega-brewer, comes after data suggesting that Mexican beer Modelo Especial could supplant Bud Light this year as America’s favorite frothy brew.

Right. It would take a brutally honest ad campaign that skewers AB-InBev and the Woke community.

Only a stockholder revolt would cause that to happen. There’s a reason why we have not seen the Nashville shooters manifesto and that is the reason AB brass are going to be tight lipped about doing the right thing.

The beer can be saved.

Why save it? It’s piss water, a sorry excuse for beer. There are so many other good beer options from small breweries that don’t have all the ESG and leftist DIE crap going on. Seriously, nearly all of big business is using consumer’s dollars to promote things to destroy America.

It could be that or the fact that most “lite” beers have no taste.

My point isn't whether it is a good beer or not. (I have never been a Bud or Bud Light drinker. It's awful.)

My point is a purely business-related one.

It is an asset and it has value because it used to have a loyal customer base (i.e., someone obviously like it).

As a businessman, my natural instinct is to maximize or save the value of an asset.

On top of that, there are otherwise innocent distributors whose livelihoods and families depended on Bud. They are worth rescuing.

They really don’t have much taste, do they? I can’t stand beer anyway, but my husband loves the craft beers. I used to buy him beer that was InBev products, but no more. No more. So he’s on a new adventure in exploring beers and loving it!

Corona and Modelo are both AB-InBev products. Dos Equis is not, if she wants a Mexican flair.

“…its brief partnership with a transgender influencer” — Anson Frericks

Sorry, Anson, you just don’t get it. The trannie debacle was just the match that finally ignited pushback on the whole LGBQWERTY infatuation. The normals are sick of companies pandering to the perverts, deviants, weirdos, and freaks.

A better course is to cut your losses, end the misery and attack from a different direction. Bud Lite is and always has been the child of hyperintense advertising

Locally, there are billboards supporting a Michelob product with I am not familiar.

The “Hello Kingsport” Michelob Billboards are the attempt to cut losses and assault in a new direction

Piss water isn’t an asset. There needs to be a lot of pain involved so other companies stop promoting this crap. The people who make their money by selling this crap can find other jobs or distribute something else. Hopefully, in the process they choose non-woke employers. Woke business needs to be starved from two ends - consumers and employees.

The market will take care of the good people involved. It’s not like they are going to wait for a buyer. They are already looking for new employment. There are tons of jobs out there at the moment.

What do you mean "cut your losses"?

If you are thinking "kill the brand," why not just sell it? It has value to someone. If there are no offers, then kill it.

BTW, I'm talking of Bud and Bud Light together.

That’s right, and we need to be ever vigilant. AB doesn’t care about its customers one bit. It’s that almighty dollar again. If they can distract us or get us to grow weary, they will recover.

I’m in for the long haul.

Done with all of this woke nonsense.

That’s one of the surprising things we have not seen so far.

AB, Target, etc. should all be facing major class action lawsuits filed by Shareholders over all the stock loses they have suffered.

I’m sure they’re a bunch of stockholders out there who don’t give a crap about transgender issues and only care about the stock price and dividends and I’m sure they could find one powerhouse law firm to file the cases.
