French Media Reports Vigilante Gang Zip-Tying Rioters And Handing Them to Police

The existence of a masked gang of young men tying up rioters in one town is discussed in French language publications, but the mayor insists no such thing exists and tells locals to call the police if they witness unrest.

Witness accounts of a so-called “brigade anticasseur” (anti-thug brigade) in the port town of Lorlent, Brittany are reported by local newspaper Le Télégramme. In addition to what is reported by members of the public to the paper, a journalist for the publication claims to have seen a group of between 20 and 30 “young, hooded men” wearing balaclavas and gloves performing unofficial arrests.

When asked by the interviewer if the group had any “far-right” connections, a woman replied that: “no, we are just people who want to save France, because France is going to ruin”.

In the States that pretty much does make you "far-right". Might as well accept that the media are not our friends.

I remember that happening. The Hell’s Angels were formidable if not the most feared of the motorcycle sub societies in 1969. Not so much today even though the FBI says they are one of the Big Four, HA, Pagans, Outlaws and Bandido’s.

Here in the PNW a group that calls themselves The Gypsy Jokers, based in Oregonistan, are a nasty lot. I wonder what these tough guys are going to be riding in a decade or so…even Harley Davidson are adding electric motorcycles to their inventory.
