Even Laura Ingraham Isn’t Sold On DeSantis’ Anti-Woke Crusades
Yahoo ^ | July 21, 2023 | William Vaillancourt

Fox News host Laura Ingraham offered some advice for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday, saying the 2024 presidential candidate’s culture war feuds with Disney and Bud Light ultimately won’t be much help to his campaign. Instead,

“What are your specific solutions to protect American jobs and bring down the price of energy?” Ingraham advised.

Counter point to ingraham being a talking head advisor to what Trump should do...

She says being anti woke isn't helping desanctis.

Maybe she could get a side job as a political consultant to desantis.....

I am close to the DeSantis team and from what I can see, it looks like just a group of consultants trying to line their pockets, versus trying to win a primary. Democrats play to win, Trump plays to win, this team is playing not to lose, like a prevent defense but they’re 35 points down. Maddening to see because I think if he had a solid strategy with everyone on board, he would be much closer but all these guys do is worry about getting paid and not looking bad for the next possible client.

The ONE thing everyone can do is go against wokeism.

By whatever word you use to describe it, we are MORE THAN just threatened by woke culture and language . . . They are actively waging a real war against American IDENTITY . . . you're not a man or a woman, Boys do girls better than girls do girls, EVERY word in the English language is a documented (and reported on) trigger to SOMEbody, democrats are certifiably insane and have absolutely NOTHING to offer mankind in general and the USA in particular.

We MUST, as the electorate stop voting for the enemy and actually try to correct what we can with our ballots.

It’s interesting to me how much the talking heads say that DeSantis is down, his ideas don’t resonate, whatever, whatever. If he’s really that much of a lost cause, why spend all that time talking about him. Almost as though they feel threatened by him in some manner, in spite of what what they say publivally about his “losing position” on things.

The real money winners are going to be cortez, roe, pushaw and others, that will be sitting on the $100-200 million neverbackdown super pac money.

So what happens to all of that, when desantis drops out?

Too early in the cycle to be talking policies. Right now it’s all about visibility (or “name recognition”).

Democrats think they WANT to go against Trump again. They’re counting on the GOPe anti-Trump forces to aid them. If it’s deSantis those forces will be opposing them.

Has desanctis dropped out yet?

No? Then he’s still fair game to talk about.

And when someone else replaces him as a possible contender, they’ll get talked about too....

Also, desanctimonious isn’t getting anywhere Trump level negative coverage.

The modern right-of-center consultant loath having campaign debt. It makes THEM look bad. They aren’t like democrats, who spend their money, everyone else’s money, they beg, borrow, steal and renege and leave a trail of campaign debt that requires years of retirement efforts. The dems put everything they can on the table to win because they understand the consequences. Consultants on our side are afraid to spend money, they fear campaign debt, they despise having a poor quarterly showing with the FEC and they leave money in their pockets at the end to show their “financial responsibility”. There will be cash left over used to help other candidates in the form of spin-off PACs.

Trump plays to win, dems play to win, these guys play to not look bad.

Nice to see De Sanctimonious getting his comeuppance.

I absolutely agree that this “culture war” is worth fighting. The problem, though, is that the political sphere may be the wrong place to be fighting it.

I don’t want the government to protect me from radical leftists. I want the government to leave me the hell alone and stop forcing me to subsidize degeneracy. To me, that means you don’t “fix” the problem by eliminating radical ideologies from public schools (for example). You shut the damn public schools down entirely.

Right /s
By the same token we are all threatened by Biden or else we wouldn’t talk so much about him losing it cognitively and physically...
There is a natural fascination with a train wreck which is what the DeSantis campaign begins to resemble.

People in the south, especially here in Florida cringe when a northerner moves here and starts talking about how he did it up north. RDS is out there telling everyone how he did it in Florida. Same reaction. Tell us how he’s going to go against this dirty deep state, what are you going to do about America’s issues, the world issues. And if he asks he basically parrots Trump’s actions.

Exactly. DeSantis is being played by the consultants he is paying for. He is, unfortunately, a fool. I really thought he had potential, but allowing himself to be led around like this proves otherwise.

...ask the people what’s on their minds. I promise you, it will not be Disney or Bud Light.”

Laura, why don't you go out and ask parents of pre-K-12 public school students what's on their minds? I promise you that they will be more concerned about their kids being indoctrinated with woke ideology and having their lives ruined by the trans-sexual cult than they are about trade deficits or balancing the federal budget.

I’d be curious to see what the answer would be. I’d be surprised if more than a sizable minority even gives a damn. In my experience, most parents are willing to tolerate crappy schools as long as they have good high school sports programs.

And Michael Jackson’s “Neverland Ranch” was never lacking for nitwit guests.
