People looking to get their new COVID-19 vaccine are feeling sore over hefty unexpected charges for the federally-recommended shot.
Customers nationwide at pharmacies including Walgreens and CVS who landed appointments for the jab this week were shocked to learn they would feel the additional pinch of three-figure fees for their boosters.
“Nightmare is the first word that comes to mind,” Acton, Massachusetts, resident Glen Cote told WBZ-TV after he learned his new booster would run him $190.99. It’s a complaint echoed by dozens of social media users after pharmacies dinged patients anywhere from between $125 to $200 for the latest boosters.

Much as many other people, I refuse to get any vaccine now. For after all the lies, who knows what you will be getting? I went to the doctor the other day for a regular “check-up” appointment and the first question from the lady at the desk was did I want a flu vaccine. After I responded with “No”, I had to sign a form after checking off the “refused” box. This visit was the first time anytime such as that has happened.
I suspect physicians are getting paid per vaccine no matter the type they inject into their patients. That worries me.

Is this booster available to those who have so far refused to take any of the previous vaccines?
I am currently having to deal with the medical establishment for the first time in years. Of three doctors I’ve seen so far, not one has mentioned vaccines, even to ask me what I’ve had. To date I have never had a flu shot or a covid shot, and don’t intend to. Like you, I’m not at all confident that doctors won’t just give me mRNA shots whether I want them or not, for my own good of course.
I hope the vax wasn’t in the MRI contrast agent I got injected with yesterday. I don’t think it’s got that far yet....
