Gaza's power authority said power plant shut down after running out of fuel Earlier, an Israeli defense official told Channel 13 News that Gaza will become a 'tent city', as the country's defense minister said he has 'released all restraints'
Meanwhile, Gaza's two million residents lost electricity as the enclave's sole power plant ran out of fuel and shut down, energy officials said, deepening the crisis inside the 140-square-mile territory that is currently besieged by Israeli forces.
As fears mounted inside the enclave of an immanent assault, an Israeli defence official vowed that Gaza will become a 'tent city' and every building razed.
In the early hours, Israeli forces conducted 250 airstrikes in just one hour across northern and eastern parts of the Gaza strip in revenge for Hamas' terror attacks.
Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) spokesman said they are sending 'infantry, armoured soldiers, artillery corps', plus 300,000 reservists 'close to the Gaza Strip to execute the mission that we have been given by the Israeli government'.
Jonathan Conricus added: 'That is to make sure that Hamas at the end of this war won't have any military capabilities by which they can threaten or kill Israeli civilians.'
In another sign that an attack is immanent, Israeli officials have told residents living close to the border with Gaza to prepare to remain in shelters for 72 hours, and to therefore stock up on food and water. Some have begun to evacuate.

Those Gazans who lived in their houses and apartments, will soon be living in tents. Europe has been educated, so will not be taking in these Muslims as refugees. The way they did in 2016, when much of Syria was demolished into rubble, and lost 33% (a guess) of its housing stock
Gaza needs to made into rubble for the time being with no possibility of muslims inhabiting it again.
Then Israel needs to go in and occupy so that they can't, and stop allowing muslims to live among them anywhere in their country.
Get ready to start hearing about how Israel is overreacting to what happened on Saturday and that the world should feel sorry for the people in Gaza.

Israel is blocking all trucks that are now massing at the Gaza-Egyptian border, from bringing in food, medicines and other supplies. I saw a photo of numerous semi-trucks sitting in Egypt, that were denied entry.
Every time a flashlight, lantern, generator lights up in Gaza , it should receive a bomb/shell. No quarter. Write the names of the babies/toddlers butchered on every shell/bomb. No food, water, meds, NOTHING should enter Gaza. The only thing allowed to leave are hostages. Gazans are allowed to flee to Egypt and NEVER come back. Depopulate Gaza!
Two answers: 1) Not soon enough, and 2) Who cares....just make sure it happens!
