Saudi Arabia assured the Biden administration that the kingdom is still interested in pursuing an agreement that would normalize relations with Israel after the war in Gaza ends, White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby told reporters Tuesday.

Why it matters: Before the Israel-Hamas war began, Biden had been pushing for a mega-deal with Saudi Arabia that included a historic peace agreement between the kingdom and Israel.

Translation: Saudi Arabia is telling Israel to quit fighting back so the war can “end” soon so we can have the peace deal Trump wanted (but without Axios giving Trump credit, and without either Axios or Saudi Arabia admitting that Israel has no choice but to make sure the Gazans know not to create another Hamas).

Money, Money, Money lets face it that’s the problem and a “deal” is about unleashing Saudi money to benefit Israel and the US.

Can’t keep relying on China this is serious business but what concessions do the Saudis want.

Will Jews settled in Judea and Samaria (The West Bank) be sold out for a Palestinian state?

The Saudis see Iran, Yemen, and a couple of the Emirates as problematic, and just want others who will fight for them.

RIYADH, Oct 24 (Reuters) - Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said on Tuesday that recent multi-billion dollar acquisitions by U.S. oil majors Exxon Mobil and Chevron of smaller rivals showed that hydrocarbons were “here to stay”.

“Exxon, Chevron didn’t buy because they want to have stranded assets,” he said at Riyadh’s flagship annual Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference, adding that the two acquisitions “could not have come at a better time”.

MBS is pro-West. So we'll need to continue to ally with Saudi Arabia against the Iran axis in the Middle East.

Saudi Arabia.

I think they changed their tone after they saw what happened to Iraq. They realized that we could invade Saudi Arabia and they had a lot to lose.
