Democrats in Virginia on Tuesday night retained their majority in the state Senate — a blow to Republicans who were hoping to achieve total control of the state legislature and boost Gov. Glenn Youngkin in his final two years in office.

The GOP also lost control of Virginia’s House of Delegates, with Democrats set to win at least 51 seats in the 100-member lower chamber.

Several days ago, Governor Youngkin said he thought Biden was legitimately elected President in 2020. If he thought his sentiment would sway moderate voters, the results of the Virginia legislature election showed otherwise.

This is why: Much of the GOPe are RINOs, uniparty, deep state, elites, establishment, turncoats, assistant democrats, traitors, back-stabbing, lying liars, swamp dwellers, debt junkies, crooks, thieves, scumbags, republicrats, democrat lite, the list can on go if one wants...

Obviously that list above can vary depending on location but in truer red areas the voting for the lesser of evils has been over for a number of years. Yes, “punishing” is a conscious activity and deserved much of the time but just ignoring the incompetents (national, state, local) has turned in a default for so many. Remember the GOPe has held the rats hand every step of the way for decades, the reason for nearing a total collapse of our country is because of the uniparty/”reaching across the aisle” is a natural conclusion of the above. Why most pundits don’t recognize this is astonishing.

As a pile-on above in recent times was the Tea Party activity peaking and then being crushed for good (apparently) by the original GOPe orange man, John Boehner and will never be forgotten or forgiven. It is not beating the democrats that is important right now, it is beating people that call themselves republicans.

Elephants never forget.

Maybe the better question is why wasn’t Trump there helping?

YoungForeskin hates MAGA. He is a squish.

Putting the abortion issue on the ballot in several states brought out the left wing base to vote. Sweeping in people running for dog catcher all the way up to the governor.

There is definitely a dynamic going on here with abortion. To deny it just ignores the issue. It's like, "I don't believe me or mine should kill babies, but that's a personal decision that every person has a right to decide" kind of thing. It's one of those issues that allows one to say something different in the voting booth than in public, and it's high on the "most important issue" list.

Right to life is certainly a worthy hill to die on, but it doesn't say much for the state of our country when we are passing state Constitutional Amendments to declare a "right". I guess that is why they call many of us "boomercons" since we can't see the issue except in a particular objective way. Critical thinking is dead and gone.

Republicans dominated in Kentucky yesterday, for Secretary of State and Attorney General, winning by ~20 points, EXCEPT in the one race where Trump was strongly endorsing the candidate. In that race, for Governor, we got smoked.

Worth repeating.

The 16th Amendment (Tax slavery) was bad.

The 17th Amendment (No more Republic) was worse.

But the 19th (Women's suffrage) is killing us because it allows women to behave as they do today.

Face it, the Muslims will win because we will have no "men" left to fight nor women to breed - with Whitey.

Glad I'm old!

Wrong. Trump’s endorsement sank the KY governor. Every other KY statewide office went R by big numbers.

I guess that strategy was successful in Virginia yesterday.

She is DISGUSTING! The RNC is her personal treasure box for living the high life. I can’t even believe people donate to the RNC any more. Or that they have for the last 10 years. Totally corrupt.

Abortion was not on the ballot in Virginia, but the threat of pro-life legislation by GOP general assembly was.
