Prominent professor whom Claudine Gay allegedly copied calls for her to be fired, says Harvard needs to get ‘back towards sanity’

A prominent professor has called for the immediate sacking of Harvard University president Claudine Gay to steer the school “back towards sanity” after she allegedly plagiarized other academics’ work 40 times.

Political science professor Dr. Carol Swain, formerly of Vanderbilt University, claims Gay used sections of a book she published in 1993 and an article published in 1997 without crediting her. “Fire Claudine Gay posthaste,” Swain posted Thursday on X, as part of a post titled “some free unsolicited advice for Harvard University.”

“She can be relieved of duties until the terms are negotiated. “Hire the best man or woman who can steer the university back towards sanity.”

Data show that in 2022 alone, more than 100 students were disciplined — expelled, sanctioned, or put on probation — for academic misconduct. From 2015-2021, more than 100 students were expelled for cheating.
