We have electric public transportation downtown. It was first installed in the late 1890’s.

They’re called trollies.

Or if they don't want to replace the tracks that were torn out in the 1930s, they can go back to the proven-technology trolley buses of the 1940s. As a bonus, this old electric technology doesn't spontaneously combust like the modern battery operated crap they are trying to force on us.
