One can accept “riot” or “disturbance”, but insurrection? The term is undefined in the law or the constitution, but historically the term insurrection has involved events with 1)a commander directing the forces, 2)a strategy and plan, 3) methods for repelling counter insurrectionsist forces regianing control, 4) firearms, Therefore an insurrection normally involves significant bloodshed.
DeSantis, a skilled political leader, condemned himself when he aggreed to such a misleading term that was chosen by leftists for propaganda purposes

At the very least he could have said the people were there to protest what they believed in their hearts was a stolen election versus the soros funded mobs that were burning cities during the Summer. Instead he cozied up to the deep state with a limp wristed, near rat talking point.
