I was one of the people who thought it might be a set up to trap conservatives into doing something wrong. But I had no idea how far democrats and their useful idiots would take it.
That said, our people should have known they’d be held to a higher standard, and they’d be lied about. They should have had the wit NOT to go into the building.
When you know people are gunning for you and hate you, you don’t give them what they want on a platter. Aside from that fact it was wrong to break-in to the building. If democrats had done it the press would call it ‘Occupy Congress’ and given them praise. We know the thugs and goons and their butt boys in the press hate us and will use a different standard to judge us... WE KNEW THAT. So yes, there were plenty of ‘wrongs’ to go around but only our side will carry the blame.

IMHO, RDS stumbled with this response. Given the irregularities in the 2020 election We the People assembled peacefully as part of saying “we see what you did there and we do not support it”.
I don’t think that it was any of the citizenry assembled that set off flash bang grenades or unlocked the doors to the Capital.
I watched continuously for four hours running live camera coverage in real time on Jan 6. These were just plain folks - patriotic Americans. If it hadn’t been for the ongoing Covid scare messaging snd the cold winter weather, the attendance y millions of additional patriotic Americans would have been the case. The Democrat party leadership created a complete mendacious scenario to try to block Trump from the second term he undoubtedly won. These bad guys who have created snd pushed the big lie about Jan 6 are villains.

I am thankful that the character of the once adored, Rom DeSantis, has come to the fore . In my estimation more than 90% of the J6 protestors are true patriots objecting to a stolen election. Many have been denied due process and have become political prisoners based on phony charges. Protests by BLM and Antifa were far more violent, yet little consequence as they fit in with the commie agenda of the current administration. DeSantis is a douchebag pure and simple.
The final insult. He’s finished. What a disappointment, I thought had potential. Uniparty wins again.
This is why DeSantis should never have run—he keeps digging a deeper and deeper hole for himself.
At this point I could never support him.
