A group of Wall Street billionaires is planning a fundraiser for GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley in New York City after the New Hampshire primary, Bloomberg News reported.

Billionaires Stanley Druckenmiller, Henry Kravis, Ken Langone and Cliff Asness are reportedly planning a fundraiser for Haley on Jan. 30, according to an invitation viewed by Bloomberg. A donor speaking on the condition of anonymity told the outlet that the event is just one part of a fundraising swing slated for Haley in between the New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries.

“Besides, you realize they can only donate the same amount as you and me, right?”

Speak for yourself, I guess. But I don’t have $30 Million handy that I can give to a SuperPAC, but some of the people in this article sure have it.

MinorityRepublican,

I never said we’d flip Virginia.

Hope it happens, but with the amount of federal employees in that state, it’s very unlikely.

I'm familiar with the area. NoVa wasn't that developed a couple decades ago. But all the federal employees have moved in NoVa recently. Too bad they didn't stay in MoCo.

This is an interesting post that has me thinking...

  1. The Haley donations may actually be the Big Donors laundering infrastructure payments through the remaining viable candidate so they can keep the consultants and their staffs funded for the rest of the year.
  2. Youngkin makes a lot of sense. First, he's term-limited by Virginia's weird no consecutive terms law. Secon, he's strong on education and the left's assault on parents. Third, he puts Virginia in play (home of the Deep State).
  3. For the Noem/Lake fans, Noem is more valuable where she is right now, and Lake needs to actually serve in an executive position (not just lose a stolen election) to be considered.
President Trump said that "success is the best revenge."

Youngkin brings Virginia and "soccer moms" who are afraid of what their kids are being taught in schools.

Noem brings a poke-in-the-eye for shutting down Trump's 2020 Mt. Rushmore rally request.

Lake will follow in the footsteps of Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Kayleigh McEnany (and Bush's Dana Perino) as White House Press Secretary.

At that point, I think I'll vote for JFK Jr.

Glad to hear that. I'd vote for JFK Jr. as well!

Trump will bleed them until the Convention and announce Youngkin, who will deliver the keynote address. We will flip VA and force the Democrats to run the exact same 2020 slate, and instead they will lose both GA and AZ, and Trump will clear 300+ EV just like 2016

Xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanx so much fot tossing youngkin’s name in the ring

He could be the perfect candidate to keep the train rolling through 28 & 32

I would hope, perhaps against hope, that he would consider DeSantis for VP. Trump may live in FL, but the nation knows he not a Floridian. But DeSantis is truly a victim of timeframe here

If a Nikki Haley can win a Republican nomination over President Trump then there is no country left worth saving.

This isn't from The Bee? These names sound made-up.

They’re joining Reid Hoffman, major Democrat donor to Nikki Haley; he’s also the funder of the flaky E. Jean Carroll.

Several years ago, I didn’t think Haley was a RINO (and Pres. Trump must have agreed, as he appointed her UN ambassador). But at this point, she’s just a barely disguised Democrat.

Yep and yet the oddest is Clifford Asness who put out on X aka Twitter this anti Haley message about ethics problems when she was a state senator

https://twitter.com/CliffordAsness/status/1749187147213480083

still everyone is limited in how much they can contribute , like $3k so unless they are starting a PAC its a nothing story

Haley is toast.

New Hampshire will demonstrate that fact.

All the money in the world won’t change that fact.

Haley is not popular with the People.

They should ask Bloomberg for advice.

He knows how to blow large sums on a campaign.

I have to admit, I am a little surprised to see Heavy D. drop out so early, but everybody over there now has a very clear idea of just how much Nikki Haley is on the upswing/rise. I predicted a few months ago, that, the Uniparty being what it in fact is, the usual party voting patterns of (D) and (R) don’t make any difference-—Look how it shapes up: we all know the Dems are in a quandary as to just WHO would be a feasible candidate who could beat Trump in the election in November. Nikki Haley is just what the doctor ordered, and is a much more feasible choice for them: they will ALL change their party affiliation to vote for her and usher in an unprecedented configuration in partisan politics. I don’t actually see her running “as a Democrat” but that too is a possibility, once again given the nature of the Uniparty. Trump will be on the rise, week by week, and month by month, Nikki would come out and out-Dem the Dems in sounding the alarm about the Trump danger “to our democracy”-—she “could” change her Party affiliation just in order to win in a general election: what we are talking about here though, is just being the “D” standardbearer and getting the Dem nomination. Call me crazy, but I think it’s possible.
