The commander of an East Coast destroyer squadron that recently returned from an extended deployment aboard USS Gerald R Ford (CVN-78) was removed from his position on Saturday.
Capt. William "Mac" Harkin was removed from command of the Norfolk, Va. based Destroyer Squadron 2, by the commander of Carrier Strike Group 12 Rear Adm. Erick Eslich, "due to loss of confidence in Capt. Harkin's ability to perform his duties," reads a Navy statement.
"Capt. James Von St. Paul will assume the duties s commodore of Destroyer Squadron 2. Harkin will be temporarily assigned to the staff of Commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic. There is no impact to the command's mission due to the relief.
A Naval Surface Force Atlantic spokesperson would not provide USNI News additional details when asked. A Navy official told USNI News was due to conduct reasons, not performance, but he did not give additional details...

Person standing next to you one second is in a thousand pieces the next second.....and so on. Few, if any women will be able to handle that and I don’t care what the feminazi’s say God did not design a woman for that (thankfully!). And many men can’t handle it as well.

Given the contempt tat The Big Guy’s puppet master have for our Armed Forces...a contempt that they don’t even try to hide...it’s impossible to know if this officer deserved to be relieved of command or not. If I was to follow my gut on this one I’d wager that he didn’t deserve it and that he was relieved because he didn’t show sufficient enthusiasm for The Big Guy’s woke,gay pride,free operations for transgenders,white rage is the country’s biggest problem attitude.
