Former President Donald Trump is well on his way to easily locking up the GOP presidential nomination for the third straight time, but attendees at the Conservative Political Action Conference were split over who should join his ticket.

Biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem tied as the top pick among CPAC goers in the veepstakes with 15% apiece, according to a straw poll at the grassroots event.

Former Hawaii Democrat Rep. Tulsi Gabbard came next with 9% support, followed by Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) at 8% each.

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) scored 7%, Arizona Senate hopeful Kari Lake notched 6%, while Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson each nabbed 5%.

DeSantis has ruled out serving as Trump’s VP.

The (only) problem with Donalds is both he and Trump live in Florida. Both can’t get Florida’s electoral votes. Donalds can’t shift without giving up his House seat. And I don’t think we want to risk Trump moving back to NYC.

With the degree of Trump hate we need to consider they could assassinate him. Which VP option would be most likely, in that case, to follow through on Trump’s agenda? Vivek might be the most reliable option there, and thus might be the best protection for Trump.

Greg Abbott deserves serious consideration from Trump. I prefer him to anyone else currently in view.

Not Noem.......she needs to stay in South Dakota. Ben Carson or Byron Donalds would be my pick. Vivek in a cabinet as well as Tulsi

“I pick Noem over Vivek.
Vivek would be good in some cabinet post.”

Exactly correct.

Last I checked, Vivek is not a woman.

What exactly does he bring in the way of voting blocks?

The YUGE Indian/Hindu block.

He is NOT eligible anyway.

“Vivek Ramaswamy revealed that his Indian father is not a U.S. citizen”

“The father-of-two (Vivek) explained that his mother took the test and completed the citizenship process after he was born.”

AFTER (Vivek) was born.

So, the constitutional requirement of being a “natural born citizen” was understood to be, at the time of the framing of the constitution, Born on U.S. soil to American citizens parentS (plural).

As described by Vattel (Emer (Emmerich) de Vattel ) in his FAMOUS book “The Law of Nations”.

“There seems to be questions about Vivek’s constitutional eligibility.”

TRUE.

“Noem, Gabbard, Stefanik, Lake”

It will be Noem.

Stefanik is good.

Lake? I like her, but what has she won? What experience does she have?

Blackburn, I LOVE her, but with Trump’s age, I think we need someone younger.

Sanders? Ugh, NO!!!!!!! Not “Presidential” material.

Gabbard, good for a DEMOCRAT. (NO Democrats) NOT eligible anyway. And ANOTHER HINDU!

HAS TO BE A WOMAN!

“South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem on Thursday signed a bill that will ban transgender girls and college-age women from playing in school sports leagues that match their gender identity, making South Dakota the 10th state to enact such a law.”

everyone would say the same...that means absolutely nothing.....

Reality check...she has "0" experience.

And when this is over, some media company will "buy" her as anchor...at a very high price.

Chief of Staff. Unless that requires a lot of insider contacts.

I say COS because he needs to be in daily contact with Trump. Trump would benefit greatly from his ideas.
