Judge: Law partner must testify about Wade’s relationship with Willis
AJC ^ | 2/26/24 | By David Wickert and Bill Rankin

A judge has determined that Nathan Wade’s former law partner and divorce lawyer must tell the court what he knows about the special prosecutor’s relationship with District Attorney Fani Willis – a decision that could produce more bombshell testimony as defense attorneys seek to disqualify the DA from prosecuting the Fulton County election interference case.

Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee’s chambers notified attorneys in the case by email late Monday that certain communications Terrence Bradley had with Wade are not protected by attorney-client privilege, according to numerous people who read the email. Bradley could be compelled to testify as soon as Tuesday afternoon. McAfee’s decision followed a closed-door meeting between the judge and Bradley on Monday that lasted nearly an hour and 20 minutes.

A spokesman for Willis said the DA’s office cannot comment except in court.

Defense attorneys are seeking to disqualify the entire DA’s office because of what they have called an “improper” romantic relationship between Willis and Wade. The defense attorneys say Willis benefitted financially by hiring Wade because he paid for trips they took together with money he earned from the case.

Willis and Wade have testified they split the cost of travel roughly equally. And they said their relationship began months after she hired him to oversee the case in November 2021.

They already caught Bradley lying, so there’s one case of perjury. Everyone knows Wade and Willis are lying, by everyone I mean both legal teams and the judge. Now the truth should come out and we’ll have two more perjury cases. Will they prosecute them is the question.

Some how I feel the fix is in on this. Fani’s side is the one that exposed him to be required to testify. He’ll probably say exactly what they want him to say. Then the judge can say no relationship has been proven.

i had been secretly hoping for an extension of the testimony part of the hearing.

there seemed to be too many unexplored issues.

if mcafee were to extend the testimony (i asked myself) who would he hear from on the stand?

my candidates would be either wade or bradley. however, i preferred bradley, because it is generally better to start low and work one’s way higher in cases involving corruption and a general scarcity of direct corroboration.

They also used the term “romantic relationship” and so they will try to use that as an out and say there was nothing romantic just sex.

The case of Rochester judge Leticia Astacio shows one sort of trajectory for this type of person.

Judge Astacio was arrested for drunk driving, and repeatedly violated the terms of her probation.

She has never exhibited even the slightest scintilla of remorse, and has never accepted any responsibility.

Former judge Leticia Astacio sentenced to 180 days in jail.

Will they prosecute them is the question.

I think it's too late for Fani and Wade to step down.

They have been overtaken by events

The smartest thing this judge could do for the State of Georgia is to completely. Dismiss the entire case with prejudice and hope the whole thing just goes away

I think Bradley is locked into admitting he knew they were screwing around before 2002 because he already provided an affidavit to Merchant stating so. She filed the affidavit with the court. But Wade and Willis got him to claim atty client privilege to prevent him from testifying. The judge just stripped him of that privilege and he already knows he admitted to knowing of the affair. It’s going to now be hard to deny it on the stand without having to state he filed a false affidavit. Checkmate

bradley needs to be given a chance to testify outside the confines of the atty-client privilege.

next, ideally, wade needs to be recalled to resolve inconsistencies between his testimony, bradley’s testimony, and the mittelstadt cellhawk affidavit.

after that, wade needs to be given a chance to roll on booty-clapping Princess DIE for “sexual harassment.”

please pass the popcorn...

It will be. The judge was deciding what he knew as attorney and what he knew as a friend.
