The Russian air force lost another Sukhoi Su-34 fighter-bomber on Thursday, the Ukrainian air force claimed. If confirmed, the Thursday shoot-down would extend an unprecedented hot streak for Ukrainian air-defenses.
The Ukrainian claim they’ve shot down 11 Russian planes in 11 days: eight Su-34s, two Sukhoi Su-35 fighters and a rare Beriev A-50 radar plane.
But those 11 claimed losses are worse than they might seem for the increasingly stressed Russian air force. In theory, the air arm has plenty more planes. In practice, the service is dangerously close to collapse.
Exactly how the Ukrainians are shooting down so many jets is unclear. It’s possible the Ukrainian air force has assigned some of its American-made Patriot missile launchers to mobile air-defense groups that move quickly in close proximity to the 600-mile front line of Russia’s two-year wider war on Ukraine, ambushing Russian jets with 90-mile-range PAC-2 missiles then swiftly relocating to avoid counterattack.
But the distance at which the Ukrainians shot down that A-50 on Friday—120 miles or so—hints that a longer-range missile system was involved. Perhaps a Cold War-vintage S-200 that the Ukrainian air force pulled out of long-term storage.
It also is apparent the Ukrainians have moved some of their two-dozen or so 25-mile-range NASAMS surface-to-air missile batteries closer to the front line. After all, the Russians found—and destroyed with a missile—their first NASAMS launcher near the southern city of Zaporizhzhia on or before Monday.

The Ukrainian Censor.net graphics seem to be very important, as a matter of Ukrainian propaganda presented in graphic form.

That’s hilarious in a morbid way. Russia is not even close to losing. The war is lopsided against the Ukranians...they are no match for Russia. Best hope is for American government to quit forcing war and allow Russia and Ukraine to make peace. There are some reports from Ukraine now stating 51 planes in 11-days. If anything, the losses of Russia aircraft indicate that bombing the AFU with FABs is in overdrive.
The FABs have changed the war. Now there are reports of 2500 and 5000 lb FABs being prepared for use.
Ukraine is experiencing exactly what Germany did in WWII with stop gap victories but strategic losses. The Ukrainian 3d Brigade is a US Division sized unit and has been expending itself for the past month buying time for Ukraine to build hasty trenches east of the big breakthru.
By the end of March, Ukraine will have retreated to the East Dniper River.
Russian and Ukraine bloggers say now they expect Russia to push East and try to take Kiev, but they have put so much pressure across the lines they are at several breaking points.
The front lines were about 620 miles long - some are predicting that they will be over a thousand miles long in another month.
When the dam breaks at the front lines Ukraine will like Germany in 1944, on the road to defeat.
We are being warned by Lloyd Austin that the United States (NATO) will go to war with Russia if they defeat Ukraine. Of course SecDef has to come out strong. England manning Storm Shadow, France manning Missiles, Germany manning missiles in Ukraine after the German Army Commander and staff were taped taking about British and French active duty military serving in Ukraine under the guise of Mercenaries... then France and Britian accused Germany of endangering operational awareness and possibly making Britian and France possible targets for Russian strikes in retaliation.
The writing is one the wall. Ukraine cannot be salavaged by Bilateral Security Agreements allowing English, French, Dutch, Polish, Romanian, and German Military Units to engage Russian troops on the battlefield independent of NATO Article 5. Good luck with that. As soon as British troops are on the ground, and a storm shadow missile hits a Russian oil refinery or city, Russia is going to make a smoking hole on British land, and it may come as a frist strike all over NATO. NATO will allow it’s land or military bases to be hit while supporting Ukraine without attacking Russia calling it defensive.
NATO will ignite at a minimum an European Continental War of Agressionk due to its never-ending expansion.
Lloyd Austin threatening a war direct war with Russia was meant with Russia putting it’s entire Nuclear Force on Def Con 1. They are planning a nuclear detonation on their testing island.
I believe that NATO thinks it can attack Russia using it’s NATO troops under Bilateral Agreements in Ukraine without Russia being allowed to attack their home countries. This is insanity. We are not simply on the bring of a tactical level nuclear war, we are on the verge of a nuclear exchange.
Between the WEF wanting to reduce the population and take Russian resources, maybe our Western leaders are going to solve their population problem in a war in which they hope to defeat Russia.

It is interesting that bert is objecting to the term Zeeper. It reminds me of other terms that started out with innocuous meanings that are no longer acceptable in polite conversation. After time because of poor behavior or other negative traits of those who are being referred to we find that the term eventually has taken on a negative connotation by those who are being referred to.
“Zeeper” simply refers to a “Freeper” who is a rabid fan and follower of Zelensky. Typically, they have no interest in facts or reality and applaud the wholesale slaughter of Ukrainians as they are being used by NATO and the West in an attempt to weaken Russia and launder horrendous sums of money back in the pockets of crooked leftist politicians.
Zeeper’s complete lack of empathy for the actual people who they pretend they care about reveals their true nature. Stereotypically they are fat old arm chair warriors longing for the return of the cold war, along with many who enjoy the fantasy carnage found in first person shooter video games. All have a complete lack of concern that this “conflict” that the United States has no actual strategic interest in, may result in a nuclear conflagration which would kill Billions of innocents. This adds to the negative perception that all reasonable people associate with people belonging to this group.
It is not the term Zeeper that is inherently negative; it is those who are being referred to who fit the profile.
