The House on Wednesday passed legislation that would ban TikTok if they do not sell the company from its Chinese parent company.
The House voted 352-61-1 H.R. 7521, Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act. The bill featured 15 Republicans against the bill, 50 Democrats against it, showing that there is strong bipartisan interest in curbing TikTok’s apparent national security threat.

Good job idiots, this law also allows the government to ban VPNs by Amir finding by the president. This law is also not TikTok specific, it allows a presidential declaration to decide that any app, social media, messaging service, anything where you can post a video can be censored. Do you see is the enemy of the American people.

I can’t speak for Trump, but it’s a good distraction, aka ‘shiny thing’, from China’s overt and covert activity worldide, Ukraine, northern/southern borders etc.

I’m more concerned about China’s ongoing electronic spying, in everything from corporate to industrial to students to smart electronics, than the social app. If Rumble buys and operates it, any threat is mostly negated, except for kids’ addiction, and that can be treated.

As someone who actually uses TikTok, it is more conservative-leaning than any other major platform. It is also more Christian!
China doesn’t put up with a lot of the crap Facebook allows, ironically, so the fake news is much worse on Facebook! Just ask Trump, who has a massive following on TikTok.
That said, this is all a circus, the Supremes will never allow shutting down the free speech of 150 million people without evidence. The lower hearts have already said the same thing, so this is really a no-brainer, and just showing which politicians are the fascists. WHY GOP??
