MOSCOW, March 22 (Reuters) - Russia has added what it calls the "LGBT movement" to a list of extremist and terrorist organisations, state media said on Friday.
The move was in line with a ruling by Russia's Supreme Court last November that LGBT activists should be designated as extremists, a move that representatives of gay and transgender people said they feared would lead to arrests and prosecutions.
The list is maintained by an agency called Rosfinmonitoring that has powers to freeze the bank accounts of the more than 14,000 people and entities designated as extremists and terrorists. They range from Al Qaeda to U.S. tech giant Meta and associates of late Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.

I would think most people would agree with Putin on this one. Can you tell us why his position of LGBTQ has ruffled your G-string?
Whatever your opinion of LGBT, Putin would do better to concentrate on actual terrorists, the ones with machine guns and bombs who are slaughtering his citizens. His resources are very stretched right now, and all kinds of dangerous enemies know it.

It should be treated as a enemy, not only being immoral, but since sodomy is primarily responsible for close to 800,000 deaths in America alone, plus 80% of HIV cases among men, along resulted in a greatly increased incidence of other infectious diseases and effects besides HIV, from Meningitis to premature death. Which diseases includes Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Hepatitis A and B, HPV, Syphilis, HIV to Meningitis and body dysmorphia and eating disorders and recently Monkey pox. Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men have accounted for 83% of primary and secondary syphilis cases where sex of sex partner was known in the United States. However, Putin, as with the Left, persecutes evangelicals for being so. But we would vote for him over Biden.

God made man and women distinctively different yet uniquely compatible and complementary, and only joined them together in marriage - as the Lord Jesus Himself specified (Mt. 19:4–6) and who condemned all fornication (Mark 7:21–23) - and Scripture only condemns homosexual relations wherever they are manifestly dealt with (see linked page).
And homosexual relations have been tragically primarily responsible for approx. 80% of new HIV cases among men and approx 800,000 American deaths, though such is not even the decisive reason why homosexual relations are wrong.

You win the Post of the Day!Actually that is an illogical argument, since unless evidenced otherwise, opposing Putin does not translate into supporting the LGBTQ movement, nor the Left or even Ukraine. Putin is correct in adding the 'LGBT movement' to list of extremist and terrorist organisations (see my posts above) but wrong for criminalizing evangelicals for acting as such - who have opposed the LGBTQ movement and voted conservative here more than any other large religion here.
Yet, as said, we would vote for him over Biden here. After all, evangelicals voted 80% for Mormonic Mitch. But which did not translate into supporting his religion.
However, many FReepers - likely including some who unequivocally laud Putin - oppose making abortion and LGBTQ an issue in the election at hand. Not a "winnable political position" as one told me.
Putin pays families money to have children.
They recruit. Their goal is children, always has been. Now we can all see this.

Putin knows this all too well.
Alcoholism, AIDS, and the fact that Russians do not reproduce very well.
Same reason for Putin’s recent u-turn on gays, and he has publicly said so.
It's sickening that we have to agree with Putin over our own government on anything, but here we are.
Difficult? They will be ridiculed mercilessly. Not that they care. They are all gender fluid recruits and shills of MI-6 CIA and that ilk anyway.
I think he believes in secure borders, drill baby drill, and spending within your means as well.
