The student council of Harvard Law School passed an anti-Israel resolution on Friday — after changing the voting rules to do so.
The resolution calls on Harvard University to divest from the Jewish state and anything connected with it. As the Daily Wire reported last week, the Harvard Law School Government amended its bylaws to allow for a secret ballot by its elected representatives for the first time in the history of the institution.
The Harvard Crimson reported that the resolution passed 12-4, with three abstentions. It resulted in two members of the council resigning in protest, condemning the change in voting rules and noting that the council rushed the vote before current members’ terms were about to expire.

Corporations have been political since I can remember, at least since the early 1980s and maybe earlier. From my youth, I remember corporations bragging about their commitment to a clean environment, black and female empowerment, gay pride, and whatever else was fashionable at the time.
Universities have been political at least since the 1960s, and some even earlier.
Actually, universities were European hotbeds of revolution throughout the 19th century. In France, perhaps earlier.
The younger generation has made Israel the new South Africa and are shooting for the same boycott and divestment initiative that took down South Africa.

Your "now" and my "now" are way different in scope. I go back to the early 50's and the Eisenhower years and on.
Back then there was more of a sense of optimism and a sense of the old Superman intro "Truth, Justice and the American way".
Colleges and universities then were where you went for a serious education, not indoctrination.

The rule change to a secret ballot to hate Jews is in response to Wall St firms saying they won’t hire Harvard grads. These cowards want to hate Jews and eat their cake too.

Many universities in Israel offer degrees taught entirely in English, undergrad and grad in almost any field. No future in America for most young identifiable Jews anyway.
