Democrats are eyeing Florida as a state they can make gains in as it is on the verge of having one of the strictest abortion bans in the country and abortion rights will be directly on the ballot there in November.
The Florida Supreme Court upheld the state's 15-week abortion ban on Monday and paved the way for a six week ban to go into effect in 30 days. Six weeks is often before a woman knows she is pregnant.
The ruling was met with outrage by Democrats and abortion rights activists in the state and nationally, but it could also be an energizing issue going into the November election.
President Biden called the decision outrageous on Tuesday.
'Yesterday’s extreme decision puts desperately needed medical care even further out of reach for millions of women in Florida and across the South,' the president said in a statement.
'This decision means that millions of women in Florida and across the Southeast will likely live in an even more cruel reality where they face a choice between putting their lives at risk or traveling hundreds or thousands of miles to get care,' said Vice President Kamala Harris, who has taken a leading role on reproductive rights in the administration, in a separate statement.

It's an emotional issue. The Democrats are pros on appealing to the emotions of the voters, especially if they're women. It's a form of manipulation.

When I moved to Florida from Washington State 2 years ago, I was extremely pleased to see how they handle election security down here (paper ballots, checking ID, etc). Vote fraud would be significantly harder to pull off here than in most of the country.
If all it takes is to have abortion on demand and legal weed on the ballot to give the Dhimmicrats an election win then America has become so pagan and degenerate that it is lost and beyond saving.
It helps that they got rid of Broward County’s Brenda Snipes and Palm Beach’s Susan “Frau” Bucher.
Actually, a dear friend was Director of a large state’s Health Department and received these stats yearly. I don’t know how it is NOW, but 20 years ago, it definitely was a thing.
As recently as last November, over 68% of adult women in Florida supported the right to an abortion on demand in that state. Over 55% of adult men in Florida also support abortion on demand.
Absent a lot of changing of hearts in the meantime, those numbers have clear consequences and will be difficult or impossible to change before November.

Where did those stats come from? Are they legit, or were they provided by the same people whose stats say that Biden got 81 million votes?
I’m not saying they’re wrong — just wondering who published them, and if they cooked the books to further a cause.
I doubt if he wins it but he’s going to get enough votes from the women vote. Don’t ever underestimate the stupid American women. We have lost 14 straight election races because of the abortion narrative. And we’re talking about some important races in red states as well. I’d love to know the crime stats in states with legal pot and loose abortion laws, compared to states that don’t push this nonsense.
In a high turnout presidential election, the abortion issue will have far less impact than in the lower turnout midterms. It will give Biden a a 1 point boost.

I hate to say this......really I do. But I think we are going to be cheated again....for the POTUS election. Hope I am wrong......We are going to have MILLIONS of illegal aliens “voting”......IF this happens...and I watched with my OWN EYE’S the last time.....We are ON OUR OWN.
If we can believe polls, this referendum to liberalize Florida abortion law could pass.
There is probably an overlap between Trump supporters, and those who support liberalization of abortion laws.
Trump is odds on favorite to carry Florida, yet there is strong sentiment in Florida to get rid of the six week abortion ban.
Then again, remember, with Roe vs. Wade overturned, it’s up to the people of each state.
